    Joshua Ch. 12.

No Other King.

Particular attention is given to the matter of the Kings that Joshua and also Moses "smote".  Two Kings East of Jordan and Thirty one West of Jordan in the promised Land of Full Blessing. All the Kings of the promised Land were vile Kings and condoned evil in the land for which reason God was ejecting them and bringing upon them a purge of Judgement. Jesus is The "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" and the land of this King is a blessed Land of great Goodness!

No other King Cont...

Hunger for this Land where Christ is ALL. Stop for nothing and at nothing to know Him more. Your closest relative can not do one "smidgen" for you what Christ can do! Paul said     "God is the one with whom we all have to do" [Hebrews 4:13.] In John 17:2 Jesus stated in prayer that He had been given "power over all flesh." Jesus has destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the Devil and has a monumental deal of Glory for sinners!

No other King Cont...

Jesus in  Luke 19 gave the parable of the "Nobleman" that went into a far country to receive the Kingdom and return: Those who allowed Him to "Reign" over them were given "Kingly" authority over many cities. Useless to try and be a King in this world. Those who allow Jesus to be King over them in this World with no possessive Worldly kingdom status qualify for Kingship in the Kingdom to come with Kingly Authority over "many Cities". Heavenly Dividends are Eternally Massive! Unsearchable KING Riches!

Possession under Moses. Vs. 1-6.

"Remnant of the Giants" Vs. 4. [Deut. 3:11] Don't allow any remnant of the old Life of sin; long for "all things are become new"  [2 Cor. 5:17Vs. 4 Og. There is mercy from the Lord in such  battles against these remnants.  [Ref Ps. 136:20] Vs. 2 "Border of the children of Ammon was strong"   [Numbers 21:24] "Be strong in the Lord" [Eph. 6:10] against strong kings of sin that dominated us before we came to Christ. Vs. 5. "Sihon": The Lord's word with such a king was to "contend"  [Ref. Deut. 2:24] "Contend for the faith" [Jude 1:3]

Servant Of the Lord. Vs 6.

There were steps in Moses becoming the "servant of the Lord". * Brought up with the Word of God * Brought up in Pharaoh's house with Worldly status and glory * Soft heart toward the people of God * learned to not presume upon the will of God in his own strength * Counted the         "reproach of Christ greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt" [Hebrews 11:26] * Slowly learned for 40 years that he was nothing and that The Lord is ALL BLESSING AND GLORY. * Moses lost all presumption of his own importance and glory and became the "meekest man on Earth" [Numbers 12:3.]

Servant of The Lord Vs. 7.

Joshua Learned  the Greatness of the Lord and made the great statement *             "As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord" [Joshua 24:15.] *        As a young man spent time in the Lord's presence [Exodus 33:11.] *       Joshua had a right spirit [Numbers 27:18] *        He "wholly followed the Lord" [Numbers 32:12.  *         He brought others into the blessing of The Lord [Deut. 1:38.] * Joshua possessed the Wisdom of the Lord [Deut. 34:9.] * In other words Joshua could say with the same thrill in his heart like David.. "O LOVE THE LORD ALL YE HIS SAINTS"

Possession Under Joshua. Vs. 7-24.

* The First mention of Joshua is found in         Exodus 17:9. and reveals him as the war captain of Israel. Jesus is the "Captain of our salvation" and "mighty in battle"           [Hebrews 2:10. Ps. 24:8] There is no doubt that the extent of the fight against 31 kings in the "land of Promise" was far greater than that against the 2 kings east of Jordan. The Lord is able to strengthen us for the fight for great "recompense" (        Heb. 10:35.) and fullness of reward. John said "look to yourselves, to not lose but receive a full reward.         [2 John 1:8.] Go Forward; fear not in the fight!

Reign "Even Unto" Vs. 7-8.

* Do you anticipate that the Lord is going to cause you to reign by His power over every weakness and sin that bothers you? Rejoice dear brother and sister because that is what the Lord has for the weakest saint. Jesus is interceding for all of his; for Heavenly power to be our experience and cause us to reign in Christ "even unto" the limits of ALL our neediness as the Children of Israel reigned over all in the valley, the  mountains and in the Springs and in the wilderness! Praise the Lord we can be like Gad:          "A troop shall overcome him but he shall overcome at the last" [Genesis 49;19.]

Sin Kings Conquered. Vs. 7-24.

*          "We are more than Conquerors through Him that Loved us" [Romans 8:37.] One of the main reasons of spiritual breakdown is a lack of knowing the great Love of Christ.         "Love never Faileth" [1 Corinthians 13:8.] Yes, Victory is by faith [1 John 5:4.] but Paul said in Galatians 2:20 "This life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who LOVED ME and gave himself for me" and         "Faith worketh by love" [Galatians 5:6.]  You trust someone where there is love. Paul triumphed through every suffering out of Love.

Sin Kings Conquered Cont...

* The Great spiritual chapter in Romans is chapter 8 which is so rich and dynamic in relating the true realities of          "The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the Law of Sin and death" [Romans 8:2.] and concludes in the final verses that, ultimately the good of chapters 5,6,7 & 8 are found in being empowered by His Love. To know the Love of Christ is to be filled with all the fullness of God and there is found NO SIN THERE! See             Ephesians 3:14-19. It is very easy to postulate about spiritual victory when we a feeling good about ourselves but it is simply more of Jesus!!

Deep and High possessions. Vs. 7-8.

* Joshua gave Israel their inheritance, in the mountains and in the valleys etc. And such is the inheritance for the believer -          "The Deep things of God" and           "The High calling of God in Christ Jesus". [1 Corinthians 3;10 & Philippians 3:14.] What great things are on offer to us if only we would hunger and thirst more for all the unsearchable riches that are in Christ. "Jarmuth" Vs. 11 means "Elevation". "Hormah" Vs. 14. means "devoted" and even a place called "Adullam" Vs. 15. - David's cave of refuge. O for more depths of grace and heights of Vision.

God Bless.
