>> Eternal treasure and joy, is ready for you to find in the Bible! <<

The word "Bible" is taken from the Greek word "Biblos" and the Latin word

"biblia" and simply means 'collection of books.'
This collection of books contain the history of the human race from the

beginning of time.
The records contained in the Bible, of God's dealings with mankind, are

authenticated by the testimony of history, and are progressively being

confirmed by modern archeological discovery.

The best place to begin, is with the statement of one very important fact;

recorded by Moses (the writer of the first 5 books of the Bible called the

"Pentateuch"), dealing with a part of Israel's history around 1700BC in the book called 'Numbers'.
Numbers 23:19 (KJV)
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he

should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and

shall he not make it good?
The last phrase - "shall he not make it good" holds out to anyone and

everyone, a thrilling and exciting adventure in reading the Bible, as it unfolds the wonderful love and grace of God's dealings with a world charged up about living, and yet strewn with the horrors of man's failed nature, and having to face the anguish of dying!
Further, the Bible contains progressive heart gripping glories of divine

appointments, not only for the present but also for the future and into eternity. As well, contained therein, are the countless promises of God, that reveal the wonders that he has "prepared for them that love him"....
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered i
nto the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." [1 Corinthians 2:9]
What confidence we can have with the Bible when we reflect on the very real
fact that, "God is not a man that he should lie."
Man may find it very easy, to make the wrong choice to lie, but God has no

compulsion to lie, as we read in Scripture .... "Let God be true and every

man a liar" [Romans 3:4.] Further the Bible says ..."If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater ..." [1 John 5:9.] If we read weather reports in the local paper, receive bulletins from investment companies, and hold to such a witness of man to be true, how much more should be acknowledged, that the witness of an omnipotent God "is greater"!
The Lord bless you, as you study the Word of God with an honest, humble

and thankful heart for his great love demonstrated for you and the whole World through Christ.

Question: Are you aware that human beings are made up of three parts? ...........You are not just skin, bone, and nerve responses.

Question: Do you believe there is more to you than just the physical senses? ..................................................................................................

What about feelings, conscience, emotions, intuition, and awareness of the unseen?

Question: From the following verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:23. (Chapter 5 and verse 23) What does the Bible teach about the makeup of all human life? How many parts make up your short existence and life on

Earth ..1. .............................2. .................................3. ....................................
Crime investigation authorities have through the use of clairvoyants, proved
the reality of the 'spirit' realm of human life with pin point accuracy. Proven practical evidence that there is a 'spirit/soul' realm that is a very powerful part of every individual.

Question: Have you ever been involved in such evidence through a seance or ouija board, or seen the effect of such on others? .........................

.............................................................................................

Card and and palm reading, also belong to the unseen 'spirit' realm and is part of the occult. Such, is misleading and dangerous!

What does the Bible say about all human Life?

Romans 3:23.
23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV)
20 "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth

not."
Jeremiah 17:9.
9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who

can know it?"
1 John 1:8 (KJV)
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is

not in us.
1 John 1:10.
10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is

not in us."
Question: Is there any human being (apart from Jesus Christ) that is

not a sinner?..................................................................
Question: Even if a person is "just" and "does good", is that

person still a sinner before God? .........................................................
Question: How does God see the condition of the hearts of all men?

....................................................................................................

Man's dilemma because of sin!

Isaiah 59:2 (KJV)
2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your
God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
Question: What are the 3 sad points from the above verse of the condition
of man's relationship with God?
1). .......................................................................
2). .......................................................................
3). ......................................................................

Ezekiel 18:4.
"Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of

the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV)
7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return
unto God who gave it."
Question: from the above verses, Who has the final say about the destiny

and eternity of every soul of man, and why? ................................................

........................................................................................................................

God's Response to our great problem.....

John 3:16.
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, t
hat whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet

sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through

Jesus Christ our Lord."
John 3:17 (KJV)
17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but

that the world through him might be saved."
Question: What is God's heart toward us in the giving of his son to

take our blame? ..............................................................................................
....................................................................................................
Question: How did God "commend" and illustrate his great love

for you and me? .........................................................................................
...............................................................................................................
Question: Through whom do we receive the gift of Eternal Life?
..................................................................................................................
Has God given mankind a clear and concise record of the promise of EternalLife? ....................................

1 John 5:9-12 (KJV)
9 "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for

this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:

he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth

not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and

this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of

God hath not life."

The whole human race abides in the realm of death.

1 Corinthians 15:22.
"As in Adam all die so in Christ shall all be made alive."
The whole person is under the sentence of death because of sin. Spirit,

soul and eventually the body gives way to death.
But

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
11
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity
into man's heart ........."
In the beginning of creation, God gave to Adam and Eve and all mankind supremacy and dominion over the "fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and over all the Earth".

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
The natural world of everything man enjoys, lives on and he dies! His dominion and command over all is a failed supremacy!
Job 14:7-10 (KJV)
7
"For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,

and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof

die in the ground;
9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like

a plant.
10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and

where is he?"
Adam and Eve hid from God because of their reckless choice to run

with the evil assessment of God by Satan! Thus they suffered death to their spirit, soul and body!
Now remains the great need, for mankind to be spiritually raised from
the dead, with soul revived abundant life, possessing the joy of a living hope and wonderful assurance of victory over the grave, with a pending new body of glorious power!

How is Jesus the way for such a great outcome?

The Word of God (the Bible) declares prophetically and emphatically

from it's beginning to it's end, and now historically in the birth and

death of Christ, the following wonderful declaration .....
Hebrews 2:9.
... "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for

the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the

grace of God should taste death for every man".
How wonderful that "every man", means you and all!
Not only has Jesus taken the blow of our death, but also he has

risen again with victory over the grave for all who believe on him!
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV)
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; was buried, and

rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
Thus is the reality on Page 6, that God has given the gift of Eternal Life

and this Life is in his son.
Question: From page 6, what do you have if you have Jesus Christ?

............................................................................................................
If God has recorded such a promise, is such a witness greater than

anything man may declare to the contrary? ...........................................

.............................................................
What sort of life don't you have if you don't have Jesus Christ?
.......................................................................................................

How do we have Eternal Life through Jesus?

John 17:2-3.
[The following verses are part of the prayer of Jesus to his Father.]
2 "As thou hast given him (Jesus) power over all flesh, that he should

give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true

God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
Question: Who has power to give Eternal Life? ........................................

Question: From verse 2. Who is it, that causes us to come to Jesus for the gift of eternal life? .............................................................

Question: Who are the ones Jesus gives Eternal Life to? .....................

......................................................................................................................
Question: What is eternal life as described in verse 3?..........................

............................................................................................................................
These 2 verses contain the most concise definition of Eternal Life in

the whole Bible. God is eternal and we are told that he "inhabits

eternity" [Isaiah 57:15.] So, God the Father sent his son, so that sinners

through Jesus might come to know the Father, be born again of the

Spirit, and become children of God! Sinners cannot come directly to

God. We all need to come by the one who is the only "mediator

between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" [1 Timothy 2:5.] who

"suffered the just for the unjust that he might bring us to God"

[1 Peter 3:18.] Jesus also himself again makes this truth clear

in the following Scripture.
John 14:6. (KJV)
6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man

cometh unto the Father, but by me".
John 10:28 (KJV)
28 "And I (Jesus) give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand".
Question: In your own words explain why it is so important to come to

Jesus as a sinner in need of a saviour to be able to "know God".
........................................................................................................................

....................................................................................................................
Acts 16:31 (KJV)
31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be

saved and thy house".

Nothing to do, just simply believe!

Yep! When you believe on Jesus as your saviour, you are in effect

saying to God ..."Amen! Yes I am a sinner, with sinfulness that makes

me unfit for heaven, and I know that my own good works, can't cover my

debt of sin, but I believe that what Jesus has done for me on the cross,

does!"

Question: Read Ephesians 2:8-9. By just believing, we are

saved and have Eternal Life on the grounds of? ...........................................

.......................and not by? .............................................................

John 6:68.
"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have

the words of eternal life".
Question: Why did Peter say, that Jesus was the only one for all men

to come to?.......................... .............................................
......................................................................................................................
Question: Are you ready to come to Jesus and be blessed with all

the unspeakable benefits in knowing him as your loving Saviour,

Lord and friend? If so, then follow the little prayer encouragement

below and invite Jesus into your life today and rest in him for the

salvation of your soul, the blesing of the Lord upon your daily life now and into the eternal future!

The following is a simple 'believing' prayer that you can pray in this

wonderful step of believing upon the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation

and the gift of Eternal Life.

.................

>> My glad decision for Christ! <<

Don't hesitate to Pray .... "Lord Jesus I understand there is no one else that has paid for my sin and taken my death to give me Eternal Life and I now come to you to receive you as my Saviour, Lord and Friend and thank you for such Love."

I ................................... Knowing that I am a sinner and that Jesus has

loved me and died for my sin to deliver my spirit, soul and body from eternal death, have today with a glad heart received him as my Saviour. Signed:...................................... Date:......................................

A big 'wow' and congratulations if you have prayed that prayer from

your heart! You have now entered into the great blessing of ...................
.......................A new Life in Christ!

The most wonderful result of accepting Christ as our Saviour is,

that upon the very instant of that step, we are born again as

children of God!

Galatians 3:26
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
How wonderful is that! In the following verses from the Word of God,

consider the great truths of what happens to us when we simply believe

on Jesus as our Saviour.
John 1:12-13.
12 "But as many as received him, (Jesus) to them gave he power to

become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the

will of man, but of God."
Question: From whom does this new birth come from when you have

"faith in Christ" ..................................................................................................
Romans 8:15-17
15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye

have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the

children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;

if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together".
Question: What sort of new birth do we experience when we trust in Jesus?

.........................................................................................................................
Question: Who do we become heirs of, when we trust in Jesus and are

"Born again of God"? ..........................................................................
Question: In John 3:3 & 5 what do we not "see" or "enter" if we

are not "born again" of God's Holy Spirit and become "children of God"?
.......................................................................................................
Question: Read 1 Corinthians 3:21-23. What does the Christian

have when we come to Christ? ................................................
Question: Read Romans 8:32 and in your own words - How

much has God given us and on what basis? ...........................................
.......................................................................................................

+++++ Assurance of salvation and Eternal Life. +++++

Don't doubt that you are a child of God because you don't 'feel' like

you are. Even though we belong to the Lord, we can often not 'feel' close

to him. There can be many reasons for that. We need to confess our

sins when we go wrong, so that fellowship with the Lord can be restored.
God loves you and Jesus has said "I will never leave you or forsake

you" [Hebrews 13:5-6] and the verse goes on to encourage us that

"we can boldly say, the Lord is my helper, I will not fear ...."
Question: Read Ephesians 1:13-14.] What does the Bible

say happens to us that makes us undoubtedly the Lord's? .........................

...................................................................
1 John 5:13.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may

believe on the name of the Son of God."
Matthew 4:10.
"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,

Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Question: What are we to know beyond any doubt and by what authority? .........................................................................................................
Follow on to know the Lord more and be thrilled with the greatness of

Christ as you grow in grace and knowledge of him through his

Word. [2 Peter 3:18.] You may find much assurance of the love

of God in going back over the wonderful promises contained in the

pages of this study of the Word of God on the gift of "Eternal Life".

"When you call on him" - Beautiful Gospel song sung by Carroll Roberson - Written by Stan Roberson, Carroll's brother. The Lord bless such a team of his glory for the blessing of many.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

>> The Prize for 2019 is

not

in a stale doctrinal knowledge of his love

But

in a living experience! <<

Where can be found clear directions to so experience the great love of Christ?

Paul shared such with the Church at Ephesus.

Ephesians 3:14-19 (KJV)

14 "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God."

* 1.) "The riches of his glory". *

There are no greater riches than the riches of his Glory!

Seeying the Glory of God makes one rich indeed.

Moses "counted the reproach of Christ greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt" [Hebrews 11:26.] and he eventually saw the unveiled Glory of God that made his face to shine! [Exodus 34:30.]
Where there is any self interest and passion in the things of the world or even in the things of God there will be no Glory. God's glory comes only to the humble ground of a man with his shoes off! That's how it all began for Moses to eventually become a shining servant of God with the glory of God on his face. [Exodus 3:5.]

Self gain and self glory is how the human race began it's decent into hell! That was the first ploy of the Devil to Adam and Eve!

"God does know that in the day that you eat thereof, you will become as God, level with him! and he doesn't want that. He wants you kept, cut down to the minimum" [Genesis 3:5. GPH paraphrased]

There are many aspects of the Glory of God:-

Glorious high throne. [Jeremiah 17:12.]

Glorious voice. [Isaiah 30:30.]

Glorious Name. [Psalm 72:19.]

ETC.

The glory of God will reach

down to man, not up to him!

And

wonderfully, will reach down to great depths of lowliness as with the great statements and revelation of Hannah .....

"He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them". [1 Samuel 2:8.]

This glory is not half hearted toward you and me.

* 2.) "Strengthened with might by his Spirit".

Our resignation from self and yieldingness to the Lord is our stubborn problem.

We need to be strengthened to give way and yield our all to Christ. We may sincerely try our very best to be a yielded believer but dismal failure is a common experience. So Paul says, first I pray that you may be strengthened to yield "that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith."

But ...

We need to see the glory to "be strengthened"!

Jacob was driven to despair, just like we can be driven to a burdened place of anguish through various trials and troubles. But when Jacob saw the great extent of wagons and provisions come to him from Joseph in Egypt, he "revived".

"And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived". [Genesis 45:27.]

The more we see the great glory of Christ from a humbled, lowly, on our face position, not an intellectual analysis position, the more we are "strengthened" with might in our spirit by the Spirit of God to happily yield our all to Christ, who is our glory and the "lifter up of our head". [Psalm 3:3.]

* 3.) "That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith."

A person may "live" in a house with 15 rooms but only dwell in 3 rooms.

Christ lives in every believer, but every Christian needs to be strengthened by a vision of his glory in his spirit by the Spirit of God. Such revelation happily enables a yieldedness to the Lord dwelling in all (15 rooms) and fully occupying every area of our hearts; having full possession of our life!

* 4.) "That ye being rooted and grounded in love."
So important is this matter of love.

Anything without love is without God!

For "God is love." [1 John 4:8.]
O yes! many there be which are going to hell but not by the will of God, and not without the love of God, but by their own will to be without the love of God! [2 Peter 3:9.]

There is much wavering if we are not "rooted and grounded in his great love!

Where the roots of any plant or bush are, will determine it's outcome.

Poor soil, results in malformation and sometimes the appearance can be distorted and grotesque! There exists some ugly Christianity!

How wonderful, that, when Christ "dwells" (ie, occupies every area of our hearts) we are engaged in a "love feast"!

This "love feast" (the meaning of 'agape') is found in John's gospel:-

John 14:21-23 (KJV)
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

O, may God help our feeble hearts to be "rooted and grounded" in such a 'love feast'!

John obviously experienced and recorded such, for us also to experience more and more.

Look at those words! This is a 'love feast' between the father and the son, and the object and occassion is to bring you and me into all that it means!

Truly, David touches on this greatness in Psalm 139 and says it is too wonderful for him to comprehend!

He points out, that the thoughts that God has toward him is "more than the sand" [Psalm 139:1.] and not the sand on one beach, but all the sand in existence, on all the beaches of the World!

This love feast between the father and the Son is about all of that! The father contemplates and reviews on the possibilities of our present spiritual station, and the Son 'intercedes' for our receiving "more grace" and experiencing to the full all such purposes of great blessing!

Let us take to heart such wonder of the love of God toward us and rejoice that we are called to participate in such a calling of his grace!

Dear believer - Look straight ahead to Jesus, and as Paul said (in conclusion) after the great chapter (13) on Love in 1 Corinthians 14:1.

"Follow and pursue after love as if fleeing from a tsunami and in comparison simply walk, as it were, after spiritual gifts" [GPH paraphase.]

Our great pursuit should be the wonder and unfolding of this love feast that Jesus spoke of in John 16. Such promises are absolutely immense!

Have you ever wondered, what could be the discussion topics at the throne of the father with Jesus at the "right hand of the majesty on high"?

If this love feast has been going on for eternity, (Jeremiah 31:3.) at what magnitude are the thoughts, that are toward us, and how fitting are David's words in Psalm 139!

No wonder David exclaimed - "O love the Lord all ye his saints ....." [Psalm 31:23.]

Ever believer that is not intrinsically "rooted and grounded in love" is engaged in an offset position which may carry into the stale (as in the article heading) and intellectual comprehension of the love of God.

Everything about the Godhead springs out from what the father and the son are; and that is Love!

There are many doctrines and much spiritual understanding that is seriously 'offset' among the saints of God, because of mal-adjustment to the love of God. If you have a good understanding of someone's capacity to love, then you will have a good understanding of what they would say and do in many situations. Love is a strong and controlling force, which pulls everything within it's pure borders.

As the phrase puts it - (in reverse) "you may be able to comprehend spiritual things properly if you are rooted and grounded in love" [GPH paraphase.]

A person with only intellectual tenors of love can have wide borders of 'anything goes' and skip over sin with ease! As we grow in the love of Christ sin excuses become harder.

"Charity (Love) rejoiceth not in iniquity ...." [1 Corinthians 13:6.]

O how much there is about this "love of Christ" [2 Corinthians 5:14.]

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

From this lofty statement of Paul and the last sentence, we get the picture, that 'love' and 'self' cannot co-exist. Where sin is, self is at large!

* 5.) "May be able to comprehend the breadth and length ..."

Without this "love of Christ" we can only attain to be "clouds without water". A profession without possession!

A good intention, but flat extension!

Excellent theory that only makes weary!

Speaking about Christ, John said .....

...... "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." [John 1:5.]

How wonderful that "darkness" cannot comprehend the glory of Christ nor the believer that is intent to "follow after (his) love" [1 Corinthians 14:1.]

Darkness can comprehend and encroach upon the spiritual position, doctrine and life of any believer that is not "rooted and grounded in love".

How urgent is this matter to "Comprehend with all saints the breadth and length ...." today, in this "lukewarm" historical era, of "the Church, which is his body"! [Ephesians 1:22-23.]
How awful that there can be operations of darkness that can comprehend (sieze) upon, and arrest  (even unknowingly) areas of our spiritual walk with the Lord. Such interference of the enemies work of darkness, thus renders us falling short of entering into the Lord's full plan and wonderful purposes.

* 6.) "And to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge .."

Why the climax focus of this love being "the love of Christ"?

The occupation of the Holy Spirit with our spirit is a total orientation with Christ!

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you."
[John 16:13-15.]

His glory - His grace - His resurrection - His love.

Knowing this "Love of Christ" is to experience his love to tears, and surpasses mere intellectual knowledge of his love.

>> Supplement. <<

[08-01-2019.]

Had to add the following because of the very precious relationship of Christ and the Church (in respect of this theme of "love") portrayed in "The song of Solomon".

++ The preeminance of love. ++

It is beautifully striking that the opening desire of the Shulamite bride is:-

"Let him kiss me .... for thy love is better than wine". [SS 1:2.]

Isn't it true, that a great longing of the human heart is to be loved? and in particular from the one whom we love very dearly? The heart can yearn for that more than anything!

Well, the Lord's love for you and me cannot be measured and yet how much do we 'know' this love "which passeth knowledge"?

++ Love measured in a kiss. ++

No theory here! but she qualifies her expectation of such affectionate love with the words - "for thy love is better than wine". Herein is the mystery of experiencing his love.

Wine has the power to turn sorrow into mirth, [Psalm 104:15] and is one of the most powerful influences of the physical senses to give pleasure.

We cannot experience this "love that passeth knowledge" if we are dragging our heels in some carnal mud, some worldly desire, some fleshly pursuit! A pastime of soul gripping attention grabbing! Some delight of the senses in the realm of the physical.

++ Prerequisite of his love. ++

Her desire in the kiss was a lot more than the physical contact. That is expressed in verse 4 - "The upright love thee".

Uprightness with the Lord is paramount in every aspect of spiritual growth.

If you love ten pin bowling, invite the Lord right into the bowling alley, and we see then, how his love turns every case into an eternal joy, instead of a temporal fizz of nothing!

This Shulamite maid was an upright woman. No pretence with her. She loved Solomon and he occupied the full extent of her heart.

This "Love of Christ" beats hands down any and every temporal and physical 'sense' 'pleasure' 'thrill' or drug!

How wonderful that this book (The song of Solomon) which in its qualified spiritual parallel is concerning Christ and his church or bride; begins with love and permeates the whole.

Note the great heights of Romans 8 and the grand climax of "nothing shall be able to seperate us" from this love begins with the great challenge -

"Who shall seperate us from the love of Christ? ..."

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
[Romans 8:35-39.]

The Father is only revealed through the son and thus the emphasis of the Spirit and the Word is the Son: and our relationship to him causes us to rejoice and glory in our loving Heavenly Father who is only known through the son!

* 7.) "And be filled with all the fulness of God.

"Surprise!

Surprise! Surprise!

Many think that entering into the all glorious fulness of God, can only begin with some open and Heavenly manifestation of the Spirit, miraculous, glorious, public and dramatic!

But - No!

The fullness of God is Christ!

"The brightness of his Glory and the express image of his person" [Hebrews 3:3.]

We cannot come into any fulness of God apart from our relationship to his son.

Jesus made that clear in his statement to Phillip -

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." [John 14:6.]

The deepening of our fellowship with Jesus as our way, our truth, and our life, ushers in the all consuming experience of his great love and contained within that is all the fullness of God!

The fullness of God is not sourced within cold hard facts but sourced in his love!

"And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God" [Ephesians 3:19.]

Less experience of the love of Christ, less fullness of God.

More experience of the love of Christ, the more the experience of the fullness of God.

Now, dear believer, be looking to Jesus the author and perfector of your faith. Trusting in him to be brought into all the unsearchable riches, that the Father has stored up for you "in Christ". All is according to this wonderful love feast of the Father and the son, planned for you before the foundation of the world!

** On a road of Life's storms. **

A brother just said to Anne and I after some fellowship in the Word of God - "It is repeated to us over and over in the Word - "His mercy endureth for ever": [Psalm 118]  because we often forget and have to be reminded"!

We have the same thought in the words of the following hymn.

"When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done".

>> God is for his people. <<

How easily we forget that God is for us. He is for you and me, totally 100%.

Tonight in fellowship in the book of Hosea there was found great encouragement in the matter of God's great faithfulness in the face of the utter unfaithfulness of man.

The Lord had reached a point of stern dealings with Israel. He warns them that he will not deliver them but that they will be brought into a "wilderness"!
"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her." [Hosea 2:14]

But ....

Behold!

It is God who is alluring and manageing the wilderness experience!

>> Yet, there is Comfort! <<

His promise to Israel was - "... and speak comfortably unto her".

Of course the chastening ultimately ended up with all of Israel and Judah being led away from the promised land into the captivity of Babylon because they were heedless! A severe discipline and yet what love is declared through the Lord's faithful prophets and servants (like Jeremiah) saying over and over again like a broken track in a record - "I have loved thee with an everlasting love and therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee". [Jeremiah 31:3] Jeremiah was the  desperate weeping prophet to get Israel back to Jehovah!
The Lord also promised in the same manner over and over again "I will restore"!

The Lord will never leave us as we are!

We may by his allowance go through some painful storms but he will ..

"SPEAK COMFORTABLY" TO US

if we will listen!

Be open to the Lord, He is "wonderful in counsel, excellent in working" [Isaiah 28:29] The comforts for you are profuse just like they were through Isaiah and Jeremiah.

Listen with your heart to the one who "IS LOVE" [1 John 4:8].

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end". [Jeremiah 29:11].

How wonderful are such words! Sent in a letter from Jeremiah to Israel while in the storm of their captivity!

"Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;" [Jeremiah 29:1]

What great comforting words!

There is NO bewildering storm of life that we may go through that CANNOT contain words from the Lord that "speak comfortably" to us of HIS GREAT LOVE!

Israel only had to be ready in their heart to listen and be comforted.

Remember, the Holy Spirit who dwells within us is called "the Comforter" "The Spirit of counsel and might" and "knowledge of the Lord" [John 14:16. Isaiah 11:2].

The Lord BLESS. He does the very BEST!

TIO: Gospel.
Written by Grant Hayman

Ephesians 3:8 (KJV)
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ

The following brief outline of the "Glorious Gospel of Christ" covers the exciting and only answer to all religious huff puff that furnishes nothing of the frightening and yet FANTASTIC one reality that is found in no other religion but the Gospel (Thrilling surpassing good news) of Christ!

This ONE REALITY IS - Where to find one pure enough to stand in for the human race, on its side to assuage it's blame of deplorable culpable sin against Heaven by bearing the JUST JUDGMENT prescribed by God which is ..... DEATH?

Doesn't this world in the expanse of great nations still exist because of JUSTICE served out upon the mad extents of man's horrendous behaviour not only against Heaven but also against his neighbour? Why, would any of us be alive today if JUSTICE disappeared from the human race?

God's righteousness demands JUSTICE! And Jesus Christ the man from Heaven with the power and love of God for a world of sin and sinners has taken the massive blow and not only died for our sins but gloriously conquered man's GRAVE and RISEN again to give an answer to his faith of RESURRECTION and ETERNAL LIFE!

 >> <<

Obviously the human race is stumped at the grave!

Whether it is physical death, Sickness, War, Violence, Bitterness and every other minor nasty of man's nature; all is because of sin and the only viable end to it all, as prescribed by God is death! And there you are in this massive maze of eons of human death, and stumped without power to redeem your life!

But wait! .....

There is someone who has come with the mighty power of Heaven, and love for you and me, and dealt a blow to man's devilish blight of death, and reigns as, "The Prince of Life"! [Acts 3:15.] to save and give eternal life to all those who believe on Him (Jesus) as their Saviour and Lord.

No Joke! Is it not a fantastic thing to have Eternal Life in your possession? Why, to exist forever is a certainty for everyone.

When our body gives way to God's sentence of death because of the encasement of sin, the real person vacates the body, possessed by death or in possession of Eternal Life!

"Christ died for our sins", [1 Corinthians 15:3.] which affords sinners forgiveness: And rose again triumphant over the grave with the power "of endless Life" which is the Gift and receiving of Eternal Life for all who believe on Him. "The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord" [Romans 6:23.]

So, you're skeptical about existence beyond the grave? You don't think that part of you is spirit and soul? What is personality, intuition, feelings, awareness?

The occult and the use of 'spiritual mediums' by law enforcement, with pin point accuracy, is a proven reality!

The Bible calls our body a 'tabernacle', which means a temporary dwelling place, where we abide till our mortality ends; being swallowed up by death.. But with Christ the Bible says, at death our mortality is swallowed up of LIFE instead of Death, because Christ is risen from the grave and is "alive forever more and has the keys of hell and of death"! [Revelation 1:18.]

There is no other answer to man's death dilemma! Peter said to Jesus on one occasion when a challenge presented itself - "Lord to whom shall we go, you have the Words of Eternal Life" [John 6:68.] There is no other answer but the Gospel of Christ to the glaring need of justice to be served upon man's culpable sinfulness in the sight of Heaven and yet at the same time, gloriously provide mercy, and a complete deliverance from the guilty sentence of death!

There's no other place, but in the stead of Christ for any person to stand, in order to be made free, saved and forgiven!

As an old hymn of truth says ...

"There was no other good enough To pay the price of sin. He only could unlock the gate of Heaven and let us in."

How wonderful is this truth expressed in the following Bible verse - "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God." [1 Peter 3:18]

Cont .. top of right column

....Cont. from bottom of left column ...

Jesus has died for your sins, is risen again and ascended to the "majesty on High" as "The Just One" for you! He is there, as your powerful Just advocate. Your forgiveness, and Eternal Life, cannot be refused as you believe on Him. You are "brought to God", Justified by "The Just One", Saved and Forgiven!!

How fantastic!

We are brought to God by the Son of God who suffered our judgement and humiliation; took our death, "despised the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God" [Hebrews 12:2.] And there at the Throne of God, Jesus intercedes for You and me to know the great love of God's goodness and blessing more and more, and to experience all the benefits freely given us in Christ.

Some wonderful benefits in the above Psalm are -

* He Forgives us:

* Removes our sins as far as the east is from the west!

* Redeems our life from destruction!

* He knows our frame and remembers we are but dust.

* Crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies!

What a wonder is the Love of God for You! And "How shall we escape if we neglect So Great Salvation"! [Hebrews 2:3.]

Man's greatest sin in the face of God, is to reject his Son, so freely given to "bare our sins" and save us from the judgement we all deserve.

Dear friend, at this point having read thus far the great glad tidings of the Gospel of Christ, are you ready to have Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord?

The Promise is - "He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life." [1 John 5:12.] "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" [John 1:12.]

Ask Jesus to come into your life Today!

If you've asked Jesus to come into your life, then according to God's Word, you have passed from Death unto Life and shall not come into condemnation and judgement no matter What sin you have been guilty of!

Jesus said ... "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." [John 5:24.]

If you haven't asked Jesus to come into your life, you can do so now with a simple prayer like ... "Lord Jesus, thank you for taking my judgement of death on the cross, and rising again from death with the gift of Eternal Life for me. Come into my life now, my Saviour, Friend and Lord."

The Bible says of the Christian - "Christ in you the hope of GLORY". Why?

* Because the one who is your Redeemer is the "King of Kings and Lord of lords" [1 Timothy 6:15.]

* Jesus is the creator of Heaven and Earth: All thrones, dominions, powers and The coming Kingdom over ALL, is His!

* "He is before all things and by Him ALL things Consist"!

* Jesus is "the head of the Church, to have the Preeminence in ALL things"

* And "In Him dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead".

All this Greatness of the Lord Jesus Christ is found in Colossians 1:13-20.

The Bible says - "Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised and His Greatness is Unsearchable". [Psalm 145:3.] REJOICE!!

This "Eternal Life" is Christ's Life in us, and we have been made a part of that. Christ is in the believer by His Spirit which is "The Holy Spirit" and by His Spirit we are "Born Again" making us children of God.

If we didn't have Christ in us by His Spirit we would be "dead in trespasses and sins" [Ephesians 2:1.] heading for the "Lake of Fire which is the second Death"! [Revelation 21:8.]

How Great is the sinners deliverance in Christ! The Bible says - "When Christ, who is our Life shall appear, then shall you also appear with Him in Glory!" [Colossians 3:4.] This "new Life" ahead for every believer is potentially Glorious. "Press toward the mark for the Prize of the High calling of God in Christ Jesus"! [Philippians 3:14.]

Job said from the outset of his great trial .... "Though the Lord slay me, yet will I trust him"! [Job 13:15.] And he did trust, and won the Prize! God's richest blessing!

No matter what trials, difficulties, or dealings of the Lord, that you may face, remember the promise ... "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ". [Romans 8:35]

The Lord Jesus will NEVER leave you or forsake you! [Hebrews 13:5-6.] Even if, at times "....we believe not he abideth faithful he cannot deny himself." [2 Timothy 2:13.]

Press on for the Prize of the Lord's rich blessing! The Prodigal son went from rags to the "best robe". [Luke 15:11-32.]

The Lord has the Best for You!

Think it over theme song. (Maranatha Current.)
