>> Eternal treasure and joy, is ready for you to find in the Bible! <<

The word "Bible" is taken from the Greek word "Biblos" and the Latin word

"biblia" and simply means 'collection of books.'
This collection of books contain the history of the human race from the

beginning of time.
The records contained in the Bible, of God's dealings with mankind, are

authenticated by the testimony of history, and are progressively being

confirmed by modern archeological discovery.

The best place to begin, is with the statement of one very important fact;

recorded by Moses (the writer of the first 5 books of the Bible called the

"Pentateuch"), dealing with a part of Israel's history around 1700BC in the book called 'Numbers'.
Numbers 23:19 (KJV)
19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he

should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and

shall he not make it good?
The last phrase - "shall he not make it good" holds out to anyone and

everyone, a thrilling and exciting adventure in reading the Bible, as it unfolds the wonderful love and grace of God's dealings with a world charged up about living, and yet strewn with the horrors of man's failed nature, and having to face the anguish of dying!
Further, the Bible contains progressive heart gripping glories of divine

appointments, not only for the present but also for the future and into eternity. As well, contained therein, are the countless promises of God, that reveal the wonders that he has "prepared for them that love him"....
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered i
nto the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." [1 Corinthians 2:9]
What confidence we can have with the Bible when we reflect on the very real
fact that, "God is not a man that he should lie."
Man may find it very easy, to make the wrong choice to lie, but God has no

compulsion to lie, as we read in Scripture .... "Let God be true and every

man a liar" [Romans 3:4.] Further the Bible says ..."If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater ..." [1 John 5:9.] If we read weather reports in the local paper, receive bulletins from investment companies, and hold to such a witness of man to be true, how much more should be acknowledged, that the witness of an omnipotent God "is greater"!
The Lord bless you, as you study the Word of God with an honest, humble

and thankful heart for his great love demonstrated for you and the whole World through Christ.

Question: Are you aware that human beings are made up of three parts? ...........You are not just skin, bone, and nerve responses.

Question: Do you believe there is more to you than just the physical senses? ..................................................................................................

What about feelings, conscience, emotions, intuition, and awareness of the unseen?

Question: From the following verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:23. (Chapter 5 and verse 23) What does the Bible teach about the makeup of all human life? How many parts make up your short existence and life on

Earth ..1. .............................2. .................................3. ....................................
Crime investigation authorities have through the use of clairvoyants, proved
the reality of the 'spirit' realm of human life with pin point accuracy. Proven practical evidence that there is a 'spirit/soul' realm that is a very powerful part of every individual.

Question: Have you ever been involved in such evidence through a seance or ouija board, or seen the effect of such on others? .........................

.............................................................................................

Card and and palm reading, also belong to the unseen 'spirit' realm and is part of the occult. Such, is misleading and dangerous!

What does the Bible say about all human Life?

Romans 3:23.
23
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV)
20 "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth

not."
Jeremiah 17:9.
9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who

can know it?"
1 John 1:8 (KJV)
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is

not in us.
1 John 1:10.
10 "If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is

not in us."
Question: Is there any human being (apart from Jesus Christ) that is

not a sinner?..................................................................
Question: Even if a person is "just" and "does good", is that

person still a sinner before God? .........................................................
Question: How does God see the condition of the hearts of all men?

....................................................................................................

Man's dilemma because of sin!

Isaiah 59:2 (KJV)
2 "But your iniquities have separated between you and your
God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."
Question: What are the 3 sad points from the above verse of the condition
of man's relationship with God?
1). .......................................................................
2). .......................................................................
3). ......................................................................

Ezekiel 18:4.
"Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of

the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV)
7 "Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return
unto God who gave it."
Question: from the above verses, Who has the final say about the destiny

and eternity of every soul of man, and why? ................................................

........................................................................................................................

God's Response to our great problem.....

John 3:16.
16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, t
hat whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
8 "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet

sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 (KJV)
23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through

Jesus Christ our Lord."
John 3:17 (KJV)
17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but

that the world through him might be saved."
Question: What is God's heart toward us in the giving of his son to

take our blame? ..............................................................................................
....................................................................................................
Question: How did God "commend" and illustrate his great love

for you and me? .........................................................................................
...............................................................................................................
Question: Through whom do we receive the gift of Eternal Life?
..................................................................................................................
Has God given mankind a clear and concise record of the promise of EternalLife? ....................................

1 John 5:9-12 (KJV)
9 "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for

this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself:

he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth

not the record that God gave of his Son.
11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and

this life is in his Son.
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of

God hath not life."

The whole human race abides in the realm of death.

1 Corinthians 15:22.
"As in Adam all die so in Christ shall all be made alive."
The whole person is under the sentence of death because of sin. Spirit,

soul and eventually the body gives way to death.
But

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
11
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity
into man's heart ........."
In the beginning of creation, God gave to Adam and Eve and all mankind supremacy and dominion over the "fish of the sea and the fowl of the air and over all the Earth".

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
The natural world of everything man enjoys, lives on and he dies! His dominion and command over all is a failed supremacy!
Job 14:7-10 (KJV)
7
"For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again,

and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof

die in the ground;
9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like

a plant.
10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and

where is he?"
Adam and Eve hid from God because of their reckless choice to run

with the evil assessment of God by Satan! Thus they suffered death to their spirit, soul and body!
Now remains the great need, for mankind to be spiritually raised from
the dead, with soul revived abundant life, possessing the joy of a living hope and wonderful assurance of victory over the grave, with a pending new body of glorious power!

How is Jesus the way for such a great outcome?

The Word of God (the Bible) declares prophetically and emphatically

from it's beginning to it's end, and now historically in the birth and

death of Christ, the following wonderful declaration .....
Hebrews 2:9.
... "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for

the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the

grace of God should taste death for every man".
How wonderful that "every man", means you and all!
Not only has Jesus taken the blow of our death, but also he has

risen again with victory over the grave for all who believe on him!
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV)
"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; was buried, and

rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
Thus is the reality on Page 6, that God has given the gift of Eternal Life

and this Life is in his son.
Question: From page 6, what do you have if you have Jesus Christ?

............................................................................................................
If God has recorded such a promise, is such a witness greater than

anything man may declare to the contrary? ...........................................

.............................................................
What sort of life don't you have if you don't have Jesus Christ?
.......................................................................................................

How do we have Eternal Life through Jesus?

John 17:2-3.
[The following verses are part of the prayer of Jesus to his Father.]
2 "As thou hast given him (Jesus) power over all flesh, that he should

give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true

God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."
Question: Who has power to give Eternal Life? ........................................

Question: From verse 2. Who is it, that causes us to come to Jesus for the gift of eternal life? .............................................................

Question: Who are the ones Jesus gives Eternal Life to? .....................

......................................................................................................................
Question: What is eternal life as described in verse 3?..........................

............................................................................................................................
These 2 verses contain the most concise definition of Eternal Life in

the whole Bible. God is eternal and we are told that he "inhabits

eternity" [Isaiah 57:15.] So, God the Father sent his son, so that sinners

through Jesus might come to know the Father, be born again of the

Spirit, and become children of God! Sinners cannot come directly to

God. We all need to come by the one who is the only "mediator

between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" [1 Timothy 2:5.] who

"suffered the just for the unjust that he might bring us to God"

[1 Peter 3:18.] Jesus also himself again makes this truth clear

in the following Scripture.
John 14:6. (KJV)
6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man

cometh unto the Father, but by me".
John 10:28 (KJV)
28 "And I (Jesus) give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand".
Question: In your own words explain why it is so important to come to

Jesus as a sinner in need of a saviour to be able to "know God".
........................................................................................................................

....................................................................................................................
Acts 16:31 (KJV)
31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be

saved and thy house".

Nothing to do, just simply believe!

Yep! When you believe on Jesus as your saviour, you are in effect

saying to God ..."Amen! Yes I am a sinner, with sinfulness that makes

me unfit for heaven, and I know that my own good works, can't cover my

debt of sin, but I believe that what Jesus has done for me on the cross,

does!"

Question: Read Ephesians 2:8-9. By just believing, we are

saved and have Eternal Life on the grounds of? ...........................................

.......................and not by? .............................................................

John 6:68.
"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have

the words of eternal life".
Question: Why did Peter say, that Jesus was the only one for all men

to come to?.......................... .............................................
......................................................................................................................
Question: Are you ready to come to Jesus and be blessed with all

the unspeakable benefits in knowing him as your loving Saviour,

Lord and friend? If so, then follow the little prayer encouragement

below and invite Jesus into your life today and rest in him for the

salvation of your soul, the blesing of the Lord upon your daily life now and into the eternal future!

The following is a simple 'believing' prayer that you can pray in this

wonderful step of believing upon the Lord Jesus Christ for Salvation

and the gift of Eternal Life.

.................

>> My glad decision for Christ! <<

Don't hesitate to Pray .... "Lord Jesus I understand there is no one else that has paid for my sin and taken my death to give me Eternal Life and I now come to you to receive you as my Saviour, Lord and Friend and thank you for such Love."

I ................................... Knowing that I am a sinner and that Jesus has

loved me and died for my sin to deliver my spirit, soul and body from eternal death, have today with a glad heart received him as my Saviour. Signed:...................................... Date:......................................

A big 'wow' and congratulations if you have prayed that prayer from

your heart! You have now entered into the great blessing of ...................
.......................A new Life in Christ!

The most wonderful result of accepting Christ as our Saviour is,

that upon the very instant of that step, we are born again as

children of God!

Galatians 3:26
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
How wonderful is that! In the following verses from the Word of God,

consider the great truths of what happens to us when we simply believe

on Jesus as our Saviour.
John 1:12-13.
12 "But as many as received him, (Jesus) to them gave he power to

become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the

will of man, but of God."
Question: From whom does this new birth come from when you have

"faith in Christ" ..................................................................................................
Romans 8:15-17
15 "For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye

have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the

children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;

if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together".
Question: What sort of new birth do we experience when we trust in Jesus?

.........................................................................................................................
Question: Who do we become heirs of, when we trust in Jesus and are

"Born again of God"? ..........................................................................
Question: In John 3:3 & 5 what do we not "see" or "enter" if we

are not "born again" of God's Holy Spirit and become "children of God"?
.......................................................................................................
Question: Read 1 Corinthians 3:21-23. What does the Christian

have when we come to Christ? ................................................
Question: Read Romans 8:32 and in your own words - How

much has God given us and on what basis? ...........................................
.......................................................................................................

+++++ Assurance of salvation and Eternal Life. +++++

Don't doubt that you are a child of God because you don't 'feel' like

you are. Even though we belong to the Lord, we can often not 'feel' close

to him. There can be many reasons for that. We need to confess our

sins when we go wrong, so that fellowship with the Lord can be restored.
God loves you and Jesus has said "I will never leave you or forsake

you" [Hebrews 13:5-6] and the verse goes on to encourage us that

"we can boldly say, the Lord is my helper, I will not fear ...."
Question: Read Ephesians 1:13-14.] What does the Bible

say happens to us that makes us undoubtedly the Lord's? .........................

...................................................................
1 John 5:13.
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son
of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may

believe on the name of the Son of God."
Matthew 4:10.
"Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written,

Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
Question: What are we to know beyond any doubt and by what authority? .........................................................................................................
Follow on to know the Lord more and be thrilled with the greatness of

Christ as you grow in grace and knowledge of him through his

Word. [2 Peter 3:18.] You may find much assurance of the love

of God in going back over the wonderful promises contained in the

pages of this study of the Word of God on the gift of "Eternal Life".

"When you call on him" - Beautiful Gospel song sung by Carroll Roberson - Written by Stan Roberson, Carroll's brother. The Lord bless such a team of his glory for the blessing of many.

God Bless. Grant Hayman.

Romans 8:35 (KJV)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
