 3. "And they come unto Him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

 4. And when they could not come nigh unto Him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed, wherein the sick of the palsy lay" [Mark 2:3-4.]

The Lord saw their faith and said to the sick of the palsy, "thy sins be forgiven thee". [Mark 2:5.] It obviously was in the heart of the sick person for the roof to be broken and the question could be asked, who is going to pay for it? And the bearers must have been as desperate as the sick person, to see him blessed with new Life.

If you don't know Jesus, are you desperate like this man, whose life was paralysed; are you eager to have forgiveness and peace, and find LIFE? Come to Jesus, He is "The Prince of Life" [Acts 3:15.]

If you know The Lord are you desperate for more of Him?

If you are "involved" with the needs of others, don't give up; "Your labour is not in vain in The Lord." [1 Corinthians 15:58.] What joy can be anticipated in seeing others discover the Goodness of The Lord; remember the promise of The Lord,

"I will bless you and you shall be a blessing" [Genesis 12:2.] Jesus said, "Freely ye have received, freely give" [Matthew 10:8.] The efforts of the four carrying the sick person would have been a "Mammoth" task, because they had to get him up onto the top of the roof! The Lord help us to have such heartfelt care.

They faced the impossibility of remedy for this poor man, unless the roof was uncovered, and broken up! This man was "paralysed" and we can suffer spiritual paralysis for many reasons, we may be praying/reading the Bible/witnessing/attending church and prayer meetings etc. But yet paralysed and suffering no action of Joy, love, contentment and life, because there is a need to uncover things to the Lord; do not hesitate to uncover everything to  Him, because JESUS LOVES  YOU!

Paul said  "...All things are naked and open unto the eyes of HIM WITH WHOM WE HAVE TO DO" [Hebrews 4:13.] and then goes on to say, that we have a great high priest that is  "touched with the feeling of our infirmities" and so Paul encourages believers, "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace" [4:15-16.]

The next thing the men did that were carrying the paralysed man was that they broke up the roof, thus clearing away everything that was stopping them getting to Jesus and the....

If you are lacking the thrill and "Blessing" of The Lord then, perhaps there is something that needs to be "Broken up". The word encourages to  "break every yoke" [Isaiah 58:6.] "Break up the fallow ground" [Jeremiah 4:3.] "Break off thy sins by righteousness" [Daniel 4:27.]

Don't allow anything remain in the way, between you and the Lord, be aggressive: to break up a roof, you have to be aggressive, and not stop for the bruises and scratches! There is a great price at stake to fail, to get totally through to The Lord on every issue.

The Lord help us to know more and more the "Good cheer" and rejoicing that He gives as we open up to, and  hand everything over to Him. Refer to the  "good cheer" component in Matthew 9:2.

Jesus loves you.

God Bless.
