"After two days was the feast of Passover .... And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman, having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on His head .... Verily I say unto you, wheresoever this Gospel shall be Preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her" [ (Part) Mark 14:1-9.]
This Passover feast, was not a feast of food but a feast of LOVE! What a great love this woman had for Jesus, and the Lord attaches this lavished love with the Gospel.
There is no greater memorial to the feast of Blessings that belong to the Christian than a Grateful, filled Love for Him; Paul said, "Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us, therefore let us keep the feast" [1 Corinthians 5:8.] Feasts are always shared with others, and so those who "know the joyful sound" of The gospel in their hearts, will be sounding it out to others.
This woman's effect on some was - "what a waste" - No never! What a great Joy to spread His love and "Waste" our ALL on Him who is The great of Heaven's Eternal Glory.
The Lord fill our hearts to be such a memorial, of Love for Christ and His Gospel, as this woman was!
Jesus Loves You.
God Bless.
