    **Surely Goodness**

                               Psalm 23.

1. The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want.

2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters.

3. He Restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness, even for his own names sake.

4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my Life; and I will dwell in the house of The Lord forever.

   **Loving-kindness Prepared**

                                 Psalm 42.

5. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet Praise Him for the help of his countenance.

7. Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.

8. Yet the Lord will command His Loving-kindness in the daytime, and in the night, His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto THE GOD OF MY LIFE.

11. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet Praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

 **The Lord shall Sustain**

                         Psalm 55.

22. Cast thy burden upon The Lord and he shall sustain thee.

   **Mercy, Rejoicing & Established**

                                    Psalm 90.

12. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

14. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

16. Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

17. And let the beauty of the Lord our god be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

  **Don't allow a troubled Heart**

                                     John 14.

1. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2. In my Father's house are many Mansions, I go to prepare a place for you.

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

27. Peace I leave with you, my Peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your Heart be Troubled, neither let it be Afraid.

  **Encouragement and Recovery**

                                     1 Samuel 30.

6. And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in The Lord his God.

8. And David enquired at the Lord, saying, shall I overtake them? And He answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

The Love of God has provided much for us, to be truly happy and encouraged, no matter what comes our way.

In the book of Job, we read, "Man is born unto troubles as the sparks fly upward" [Job 5:7.] and   don't the sparks sometimes reach Dazzling  proportions.

If we live only in the realm of the "Earthly" and physical "senses", then we are living on a very THIN EDGE, from which life can easily cause us to tumble, and plunge us into   and Despair.

With what great enthusiasm, we can enjoy all the "earthly" good that surrounds us, not considering the emptiness of our physical existence, and not having a care in the world, until something goes wrong, and then all our amusement with life crumbles.

If we are amused only with the "natural" state of things, then, the long term outlook towards   is a bleak one, but here again, this great love and faithfulness of God toward his creation, has wonderfully provided for this most discouraging "bus stop", where we all have to "get off". This wonderful provision comes only via the one who "blazed" the way through

Conquered the grave and rose again! Moreover, that is why He has the Authority to say, "I am The Way, The Truth and The Life, no man cometh unto The Father but by me" [John 14:6.]

Is the ultimate ANSWER to all "Discouragement".

Encouragement for the spirit:

Encouragement for your spirit that cannot be daunted by anything, is being "Born again" when, you come to Jesus Christ and trust him as your saviour.

Encouragement for the Soul:

When we come to Christ and we experience the "new birth" that Jesus spoke about to Nicodemus, [John 3.] we then have a solid foundation for our soul's ever-changing range of "emotions", which can vary much, because of being related to our "earthly" and "physical" circumstances, which can be very pleasant, or very devastating. How beautiful to know, that though your earthly position can totally crash, you have in your spirit this unmoveable, and unshakeable, Glorious outcome in Christ for all eternity, that makes this "beggarly" earthly existence pale into insignificance, as the words of the following Hymn, beautifully express,

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Refrain

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

Refrain

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul
!

Refrain

For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

Refrain

But, Lord, 'tis for Thee, for Thy coming we wait,
The sky, not the grave, is our goal;
Oh trump of the angel! Oh voice of the Lord!
Blessèd hope, blessèd rest of my soul!

Refrain

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

Refrain

 Encouragement about the body.

said, "I am the resurrection and the Life, he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die" [John 11:25.] Because Jesus died and rose again for us, we are able to look forward (even though our body may be sick and dying) to a triumphant VICTORY over   and the grave. and look forward to a glorious Eternal future of things unspeakable!

The one who has "backed up" this statement by the Power of resurrection, and RISING from the dead, is Jesus Christ.

The Lord bless you with the great encouragement of the Grace of Christ, through whom is made available to us these thrilling realities of salvation from eternal

 and the gift of

Jesus loves you.

God Bless.
