               Spiritual Action of Glory!

                                                    2 Corinthians 3:17-18.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

  • Jesus is "that Spirit" that is the ministration of this "new Testament"
  • Jesus said: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.
  • The Administration office of the Holy Spirit concerning this Glorious ministration of the New Testament is busy about one thing and that is the revelation of the glory of Christ .
  • The Holy Spirit does not "speak of himself" [Note the above verse.]
  • Those who make much ado about the Holy Spirit are not talking from The Holy Spirit!
  • John was in the Spirit on the Lords day, heard a voice and saw the Glory of Christ. This is the precious essence of the ministration of the New Testament in the power and by the authority of The Holy Spirit.
  • There is only one tangible picture of the full Glory of God that The Holy Spirit can paint and that is CHRIST . For one to paint and put something on canvas for all to see there has to be the "real object" to paint!
  • Christ the real revelation of the Great Glory of God has come . Ref. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
  • (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. [John 1:14.]
  •   Christ has ascended and The Holy Spirit has come to paint to every believer a clear picture of this Glory, which is "in the face of Jesus Christ". Ref .  6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. [2 Corinthians 4:6.]
  • There is no other portrait of the Full Glory of God for the Spirit to paint!
    • Ref: Jesus said,  27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. [Matthew 11:27.]
    • Our Heavenly Father is revealed only through The Son . Ref:  8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him,Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? [John 14:9.] The Son has ascended, and Glorified in the throne, has sent The Spirit, and The Spirit reveals The Son in whom is the fullness and completeness of the Godhead revealed bodily on Earth in the tangible evidence of the human form of a man . Ref:  6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. [Philippians 2:6-8.]

Jesus said,  7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [John 16:7.]

    • If a sinner is not directed to Jesus Christ they will not find God: If a believer is not directed to Jesus Christ they will not have a revelation of God. Note: There is a revelation of God through nature and evidence of His Eternal power and Godhead but sinners cannot come to God by the qualification of any knowledge of His power and majesty in creation or any other knowledge but only by Christ who is a beautiful revelation of the Love of God, His mercy and forgiveness. When a person comes to Jesus they are coming to The Saviour and in so doing are acknowledging that as a sinner they need saving from the penalty of their sin.

Similarly , a believer seeking a knowledge of God even if it is from the Word of God, If the attention of the heart and mind is not upon Christ there will be a short fall of Revelation of Gods Full Glory because as already illustrated all such revelation is only found in Christ. Ref.  19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; [Colossians 1:19.]  1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. [Hebrews 12:2.]
