The Glorious conclusion of 2 Corinthians 3:17-18.

Here is a conclusion to Paul's whole discourse of chapter 3! In 4:1 we read,  1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 Corinthians 4:1.] Paul is stating that he has finished the declaration of what this "Ministration of The Spirit" is; what is this, being "able ministers of the New Testament" ; what is this "rather glorious" ministry !

In the last 2 verses Paul sums up the absolutely supreme NEED of ALL believers and absolute need in ALL MINISTRY and that is

the UNVEILING OF THE GLORY OF CHRIST!

Doesn't Paul say that...     16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. [2 Corinthians 3:16.] And what was the veil concealing over Moses face: Yes, GLORY ! Ref:     14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ. [2 Corinthians 3:14.]

This WRITTEN New Testament in the hands of the Spirit is a MIRROR OF GREAT GLORY and that GLORY is CHRIST !

The first thing Paul mentions is "LIBERTY" and the second thing he mentions is "CHANGED".

"Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
[2 Corinthians 3:17-18.]

When something is liberated from what it formally was, this means there is a change! The greatest need for every Christian is to be Changed! That's why Paul says in another place,     15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. [Galatians 6:15.]

All our spirituality means nothing unless we are CHANGED! O how great and urgent it is for us to SEE THE GLORY OF THE LORD! BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY MINISTRY OF THE SPIRIT THAT HAS THE POWER TO CHANGE US!

The Lord impress upon us not only the urgent need in our non-glorious emptiness to long like Moses to SEE HIS GLORY but also

THRILL OUR HEARTS WITH THE EXCITEMENT THAT IT IS HIS WILL AND HIS LONGING TO SHOW US HIS GLORY

THAT WE MIGHT AS WE READ IN VERSE 18, BE CHANGED INTO THE SAME IMAGE FROM GLORY TO GLORY!

Jesus Loves You. God Bless.
