"Jesus Christ is either a fool

                                                or

He is who he said He was"

What did Jesus actually say then, that would cause a sound thinker to make such a statement.

Lets look at some statements about who he said he was, amazing statements that have never come from the lips of any other credible person!

Jesus said the following words:-

"I Am The Way the Truth and The Life no man cometh unto The Father but by me" [John 14:6.]

Think Cap 1:- Doesn't it make sense, that man needs a mediator to make things

right for him, because he has, (and it's plain to see) gone very wrong?

"I and my Father are one" [John 10:30.]

"I am from above...I am not of this world" [John 8:23.]

"I am the Bread of Life, he that comes to me shall never hunger and he that believes on me shall never thirst" [John 6:35.]

"Before Abraham was I Am" [John 8:58.]

"I Am The  Light of The World" [John 9:5.]

"I Am The Door, if by me any man shall enter in, he shall be saved and shall go in and  out and find pasture" [John 10:9.]

"I Am come that they might have Life and have it more Abundantly" [John 10:10.]

Think Cap 2:- Such abundant Life that it overcomes the grave! Part of The gospel of

Christ is that "He Rose again the third day according to The Scriptures" [1 Corinthians 15:4.]

And hasn't mankind from the dawn of civilisation needed that sort of Abundant answer to the Grave!

"I Am The Good Shepherd, the good shepherd gives his  life for the sheep" [John 10:11]

"I Am The Resurrection and The Life" [John 11:25] (Refer Think Cap 2)

"In  my Fathers House are many Mansions, if it were not  so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you." [John 14:2.]

The above are only some  of The wonderful words of Christ  that provide such tremendous hope for mans bleak condition, and the miserable outlook of everything that he is and has lived for, being swallowed up by the  grave!

Now lets look at some statements Jesus made about every day matters relating to human needs, and this is where it gets interesting with the real test to see if something would emerge that could evaluate Jesus as a fool.

"You have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not kill......but I say unto you whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of judgement". [Matthew 5:21-22.]

Think Cap 3:- Are they wise words? Anger, resentment and hatred is at the root of all violence and murder. How devastating this problem is today, people are on the edge, a man is capable of pulling out a magnum 45 and shooting a guy because he honked his horn at him! How true are the words of Jesus. Years ago the philosophy was on a roll about "let a child express itself" instead of seeking to restrain and teach that anger without any reason is a developing capability of the worst behaviour.

How wise are these words of Jesus!

                                                          Next:-

"You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou  shalt not commit adultery, but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." [Matthew 5:27-28.]

Think Cap 4:- It would be impossible to calculate the misery, ruin and disaster that is suffered in the world through mans sexual weakness and lust.

  • Abortions to cover unfaithful sexual indiscretion and also other sad and desperate reasons which can invoke sympathy for the plight of some situations and yet cannot be accepted as an answer to a problem that may have many variables of trauma and difficulty.
  • Broken marriage because of lust after another woman or a woman wanting to be  lusted after by another man and what secondary sorrows ensue with broken  families, children devastated and disillusioned, not to mention resentment, tears, anger, financial loss and suffering.
  • It would be too lengthy and not profitable to go into all the the sexual "play pens" that man can become bogged in and the problems that  can result from the sexual turbo engines such as pornography, "R" rated sex videos, sex orientated advertising etc.
  • The reality is that there is not a single human being that is guiltless in this matter of sexual lust and it's many outworkings, no matter how much a man might try to consider himself pure from such sin, but Praise the Lord he can be forgiven no matter the horrendous painful reaping of such sin, as was the wonderful mercy of God to King David, and as one brother would say in our fellowship - "GLORY TO GOD".
  • This remarkable statement of Jesus  comes back to the simple truth that the lust of the flesh, (of which plight all the human race suffers) can be triggered into very sinful actions by simply what and how he "looks" at something and the real problem as to why the action can happen so easily is because that it has already taken place in his Heart!

How interesting it is that Jesus just states the case of truth but doesn't ride a big wave of vengeful words of wrath and condemnation because He knows how man is bundled up in a prison house of sin and Praise the Lord he came to set the prisoner FREE!

No! Those words of Jesus are not the words of a fool but of one full of Heavenly Wisdom, Grace and Truth.

                                                              Next:-

" Judge not that you  be not judged, for with what judgement you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete it shall be measured to you again, and why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but consider not the  beam that is in your own eye?

Or how will you say to your brother, let me pull the mote out of your eye; and behold, a beam is in your own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then thou shalt see clearly to cast out the beam out of thy brother's eye" [Matthew 7:1-5.]

Think Cap 5:- There is no nonsense in these words but pure righteousness! How excellent is the truth that so easily we can be hypocrites, judging others with a high and mighty so called sinless attitude, attempting to straighten out someone else, suggesting we can take the mote out of their eye and it doesn't even register that we can't see clearly to do the job because there is a huge beam in our own eye! How faulty we all are. How true are the words of Jesus..."JUDGE NOT"

PS. It also must be considered that if we are digging in  someone Else's eye, and we can't see clearly (because of the log in our own eye) we could inflict serious damage in our presumptuous efforts!

                                                               Next:-

"And when He (Jesus) had  called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me everyone of you and understand: There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can  defile him: but the things which come out of him, these are they that defile the man. If any man have ears to hear let him hear. And when  he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him; Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught purging all meats? And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of man, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." [Mark 7:14-23]

Think Cap 6:-  What can you say to that! What true and wise words. Solomon wrote "Keep thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life" [Proverbs 4:23.] The big thing today is education, Obama and Rudd are both declaring that education is the  great need, that  this will solve all our problems, and this is a common thought, but the problems of the whole world are not solved by educating the brain but a change of heart.

The brain can know all about the rights and wrongs but what compels the action is what we love and desire and that comes from the heart. An alcoholic can know full well in his brain that his drink can ruin him and take his wife, home, job and leave him wrecked but within there is this out of control love, desire and determined will to have the bottle of death!

We could share more of the wonderful words of Christ, but let this suffice.

The officers that heard him reported to the authorities that "Never a man spake like this man"  [John7:46.]

Having reviewed the claims and promises that he made and the wonderful counsel given for man  to be blessed, "Taste and see that The Lord is good."

Come to Him - Let me declare that he loves you and will receive you no matter who you are or how you may have rejected Him in the past. You can receive right now His wonderful Free grace of forgivness, The Gift of Salvation and Eternal Life - Just say YES! to Jesus. And The Lord bless you real good!
