* The Shadow of a Great Rock. *

Are you proving that Christ wonderfully is the "Shadow of a great rock in a weary land [Isaiah 32:2.] Are you weary? Call upon the Lord. It could be, that it is your own fault that you are weary. It makes no difference to Jesus how weary or how you have become weary, he is a GREAT ROCK. The shadow is there for you. Christ has cast a shadow of forgiveness, refreshment and comfort across the whole world. Christ has come and the shadow is cast, never to be taken away. This Rock is faultless and that's why in the following text we are promised "his work is perfect".

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." [Deuteronomy 32:4.]

Many people live their whole life with something that has a stranglehold around their neck, and never reach this wonderful great rock with the blessed shadow of restoration, refreshment and peace.

* ¶ Jesus (this rock) is faultless, he has perfect peace and perfect love, and you can never come out a loser if you bring everything under the shadow of this great rock! There is room under this restoring shadow for the most nasty problem. A Shadow from the most destructive blast of heat in this fireball world. We are talking about Jesus here! We are not talking about a mere man, we are talking about an all understanding, gracious and loving GOD Man. Paul declares to a weary Church trying to be complete in self striving and says - "...... You are complete in Him" [Colossians 2:10.] Jesus has not got half a package for the weary traveller, but a full blessed deal will be unfolded to you under the shadow of this GREAT ROCK. Right at this very crucial time of Israel about to embark on a serious venture of life or death to win the prize of God's great blessing in the Promised Land, Moses encourages them in this rock so faultless and solid that it cannot fail them. A rock of great safety and power, and so enduring that it is ETERNAL and Paul declares that this ALL TIME ROCK (that followed them) IS CHRIST. - "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." [1 Corinthians 10:4.] You cannot possibly reach the shores of eternity safely without coming via the life giving shadow of Jesus Christ, this great rock of Salvation. [Psalm 62:2.]
