"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle:

         set yourselves, stand Ye still, and see

         The Salvation of The Lord with You, O

         Judah and Jerusalem: Fear not, nor be

         dismayed; to morrow go out against them,

             for The Lord will be with you" 

                       [2Chronicles 20:17.]

We only need to do what the Guy has done above and that is......

As we read in Ephesians 6:14-18.

1. "Loins girt about with Truth" - Position must be one of truth, Jesus is "full of grace and truth" The Lord cannot take on any battle if there is no truth or reality.
2. "Having on the breast plate of Righteousness"- We need to be right with the Lord. Others may think we are not right but that is between them and The Lord but are we right with Him in reality; and if we are wrong we can come and get right with Him. Breastplate covers the vital organs that maintains Life - "Keep thy heart with All Diligence for out of it are the issues of Life" [Proverbs 4:23.] we can be "right about lots of things, - doctrine, knowledge, but is the heart right, for as Jesus said "From within, out of the heart.... proceed evil thoughts," etc, etc IE; right attitudes etc. [Mark 7:21-23.]
3. "Feet shod with preparation of the Gospel of Peace." Be a peacemaker. "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God." [Matthew 5:9.]
4. "Above ALL taking the shield of faith", Isn't that so beautiful - "Above ALL" Trusting in The Lord is the greatest weapon of defence against the enemy; in Hebrews 11 doesn't it say by faith they "subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, stopped the mouths of lions" etc. Faith means no trust in self, no trust that self can do it! "Without Faith it is impossible to please God" [Hebrews 11:6.] God may not be pleased with our own self efforts but He is pleased with "Faith" because "faith" hands over control to The Lord for HIS ACTION and how can He not be pleased with That! Will The Lord perform that with which He is not Pleased?
5. The Word of God- the "Sword of The Spirit" - "All the promises of God in Him (Christ Jesus) are Yea and amen"
6. "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit" Prayer is trust in exercise, Prayer is moving ahead according to heaven. The way Paul mentions prayer here is that Prayer is the breath that we are breathing as we put on the armour ready "to stand and having done all to stand" including prayer - We put the armour on and Prayer is waiting for GOD TO TAKE ACTION!

The Precious encouragement in this matter of the many troubles and difficulties and feuds that might encumber us is, if "God be for us who can be against us" [Romans 8:31.] - What a wonderful promise, so don't take up the "Fight" The lord will take up the fight for you, and I think He will win!

Just put on The armour and as we read in Ephesians 6 - "Having done all to stand; Stand therefore......" Just Stand on His Ground, that He will Fight for you and cause You "to Triumph in Christ" [2 Corinthians 2:14.]

Remember "above all taking the......
