Matthew 1:18-21 (KJV) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Luke 2:8-11 (KJV) And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
John 3:16-17 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
This last year 2013 has been a blessed year of the Lord's goodness, learning the precious "excellency" of knowing Christ more.
What a privilege to "write the vision and make it plain" as the Lord told Habakkuk 2:2. "Where there is no vision the people perish." [Prov. 29:18.] It has been a blessing to observe the growing interest and visits of folk to the site.
One surprise has been the sudden and escalating interest in the allegory article "How are you travelling?" with over 12000 visits in a matter of months.
There is no greater thrill here upon earth than to be a blessing of the Lord to others for his glory.
Am very grateful for the loving help of my wife Anne, with my dreaded spelling infirmity, and the partnership with others in making the site known.
"The Blessing of the Lord that maketh Rich" [Proverbs 22:10.] be your portion with loved ones this Christmas.
Love and God Bless.
Grant and Anne.

**Good news that Changed the World. **
¶ The first announcement after reassuring Joseph and Mary that what was happening to them was of the Spirit of God, the Angel of the Lord goes on to say that the baby that shall be born is to be called Jesus for he shall be the Saviour of The World!
The name "Jesus" is taken from the Hebrew name Joshua and means - "Jehovah Saved" [Strong's Greek and Hebrew dictionary.]
When you come to Jesus and believe on Him "to the saving of the soul" Then you are now and for eternity "JEHOVAH SAVED"! And whatsoever God does, it is FOREVER. Nothing can be put to it nor anything taken from it! [Ecclesiastes 3:14.] "To wit, God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself not imputing their trespasses unto them ...." [2 Corinthians 5:19.]
What great news!
¶ Right off the bat and straight to the core of the matter, God announces his son is sent to bring about the greatest need among men, and that is, that he might be saved from his sin, his reckless and Godless life, that is finally going to be consumed by the grave for all eternity at the end of his short lived life on the earth!
News doesn't get any better than that!
Do you realise how fantastic it really is?
One may hear a scowling cry - O I'm sick and tired of hearing about Salvation:
>>>>> BUT <<<<<
¶ O how tired the World is becoming of man's hatred and murder, what tears we see on TV, of the horror of man's violence. The "Schoolies" are now out of control with drunkenness and violence, and parents are living a continual nightmare!
We are crying "save the whales" and killing babies in the womb by the thousand.
¶ The List could go on and on, BUT how happy it is when a cursing drunkard, tastes the rich kindness of the grace of Jesus Christ, and his life is changed and his marriage saved.
What a glorious sight!
What a great Salvation!
In Isaiah we read the following words foretelling 700 years before, of the coming of Christ and what he alone can do for a despairing world:-
Isaiah 61:1-3 (KJV) The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
¶ We live satisfied, and laugh at our comedy movies amidst the sadness and tears all around us today, of peoples lives reduced to an ash heap of misery and tragedy and despair.
But Wait! In the above declaration by Jesus himself, He gives "Beauty for ashes."
Praise the Lord for such good News at......CHRISTMAS that we can share!
God Bless.
