     ** Hymn. **

* "I've Got a mansion Just Over the Hilltop" *

I'm satisfied with just a cottage below
A little silver and a little gold
But in that city where the ransomed will shine
I want a gold one that's silver lined

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And some day yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold

Though often tempted, tormented, and tested
And like the prophet my pillow's a stone
And though I find here no permanent dwelling
I know He'll give me a mansion my own

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And some day yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold

Don't think me poor or deserted or lonely
I'm not discouraged I'm heaven bound
I'm but a pilgrim in search of the city
I want a mansion, his reward and a crown

I've got a mansion just over the hilltop
In that bright land where we'll never grow old
And some day yonder we will never more wander
But walk on streets that are purest gold.

        >>> Look to The Lord for

              His End in Everything <<<

How wonderful, again and again was the "end of the Lord" for those in the Word, that trusted in him. Job and David and Naomi, just to mention a few.

James 5:11 (KJV)
"Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy."

How was the end of 2013 for you? Of course we all would like things to run smooth, and at any given point, for the status quo to be ok, but as the Word says .... "Man is born unto trouble as the sparks fly upward" [Job 5:7.]

The Lord does crown the year with his goodness, but that doesn't mean that there will not be a carry over, of trouble from 2013 to 2014. But the sure thing that you can trust in, is that, the "end of the Lord" is good as, we "with purpose of heart cleave" unto him. Job hung on with absolute surety, his words ringing out his stedfastness .... "Though the Lord slay me, yet will I TRUST HIM" [Job 13:15.] He knew something truely wonderful about the Lord and he proved it in the END!

Do you want to know and experience that same wonder in this new year of 2014? Jesus is WONDERFUL! That is his name. "His name shall be called Wonderful"  [Isaiah 9:6.]

David said that the thoughts of the Lord toward him were more in number than the sand of the sea shore! [Psalm 139:17-18.] The Lord has the same glorious thoughts toward you for peace and to give you an expected end as in the text above,

                                         SO,

                             Ahead in  2014;

                           Happy new Year

                                      AND,

"Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward." [Hebrews 10:35.]

Encourage yourself in the Lord like David did (if you have lost any spiritual ground) and recover ALL.

Keep looking unto Jesus and listening to him and HIS thoughts of Peace for you from his Word.

In this new year of 2014, continue to trust in the Lord with all your heart, leaning not unto your own understanding, acknowledging him in all your ways, and await his faithfully promised, "expected end", of blessing and goodness planned for you.

God Bless.
