Life is One Big Question isn't it? **** Where is Eternity? **** Is there a God? **** If so How can I know Him? *** What is after death? **** Where did all the wonder of the Heavens and Earth come from? can we be really satisfied that it all happened by chance? **** How come the wisest intellects of our day are Ignorant about matters of spirit and soul? A man once shared in his search for the answers to the questions of life and death and eternity, that he thought, that if he could consult his bank manager, perhaps he being a prudent man in matters of life and "wellbeing" could advise concerning these matters; this particular  bank manager was not able to help him but if he had spoken to a Christian bank manager he would have received clearly defined answers to his questions; and so the following is some encouragement to avoid a "foggy" and dangerous road to eternity.

                           The following "layout" is...

LEFT SIDE:- QUESTION.                                            RIGHT SIDE:- ANSWER.

They bury your body, where are you going? You come to Christ you then possess Resurrection Life because Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life" [John 11:25.] and because Jesus has conquered the grave and lives in you by His Spirit, then Death is simply a "mist" of influence to someone who already has resurrection Life, and the Bible says that when the body dies of a christian, he becomes  "Absent from the body and present with The Lord" [2 Corinthians 5:8.] The Bible says, "Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" [Romans 5:12.] This sentence of death is over the total man, - spirit - soul - and body but to the christian who has received Christ as his Saviour into his spirit, he now has the very life of God in his spirit and soul and as the Bible says he is "born again"  [ John 3.] and can only suffer the decimation of his body, whereas the unbeliever who is not reconciled to God is under the total sentence of death, - spirit - soul and - body, and sustained death for all eternity in (as The Bible says ) "the lake of fire which is the second death" [Revelation 21:8.] and so the saying goes, that if if you have come to Jesus and been "Born Again" then you have been born twice, and .......... "If you have been born twice, you only die once, and if you have only been born once then you must  die twice"

Your conscience witness to your heart that "all is well" about your welfare eternally, and about meeting God and the problem of how you have lived and your many sins?

                                                                                                                                                 The

Christian have a conscience cleaned up and at peace?...Yes! Praise the Lord. The Conscience of a christian witnesses by The Spirit of God to his heart that he is "Abundantly pardoned" [Isiah 55:7.] because "Christ hath also once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust" [1Peter 3:18.] and sin is no longer imputed to the sinner who comes to Jesus. [Psalm 32:2.] How wonderful is the peace that fills the heart when we come to Jesus and trust Him that He is the one "In whom we have redemption, through His blood even the forgiveness of sins" [Colossians  1:14.] This peace is indeed like a river, as the following Hymn portrays...

Righteousness produced by our own good works as we endeavour to do what is right, is it perfect? Is our "goodness" good enough?

Righteousness that Christ  IS makes RIGHT what He has done for the sins of the world and when a sinner believes on Him, he then has been moved into that RIGHT position with Christ as the Bible says  "Christ... is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption" [1 Corinthians 1:30.]  and "By grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast" [Ephesians 2:8-9.] "All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God" [Romans 3:23.] We must remember that our major problem is that, no amount of good works can alter the fact that we all have a "mean streak" nature, an evil nature, an unregenerate nature, even as The Word says "can a leopard change his spots?" [Jeremiah 13:23.] "That which is crooked cannot be made straight" [Ecclesiastes 1:15.]

In the book  of Isaiah mans corruption is profoundly described... "From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it: but wounds and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither mollified with ointment." [Isaiah 1:6.] and then in verse 18 what a wonderful offer by a Gracious Loving God... "Come now let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" [Isaiah 1:18.]

How true are the words of Jesus "Ye must be born again" - How glaring and real is the truth of mans uncontrollable corruption in the world all around us today.

Of heart and mind that all is well for now and in Eternity? What turmoil there  is today in homes and hearts and lives. There are more fancy holiday resorts to "rest" in, more pleasures than ever to relax in, more modern inventions to make life easier and provide more "R&R" time and yet with all this, the divorce rate, family life, drug addiction, Industry strife, economy and politics are all spiralling out of control with anything but "Rest".

Is found immediately we come to Christ as He has promised..  "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest" [Matthew 11:28.]

One of Mans biggest underlying problems and lack of rest is his delma of trying to work out what God is like and how to feel good about that issue, how to deal with it, to hate the concept - Ignore the conscience reminder of the reality, scurry to find evidence that He doesn't exist! - Labour to better one's self just in case you find yourself standing before this "God" at the darkened sunset of life, - undertake some spiritual exercise to cover the "bases" and even be caught up in self abasement and self torture to try and feel good about one's self and so called pay penance for life's errors and faultiness, - O the pain that hearts can suffer in this labour to find "rest" about the great question of eternity and the power of the unknown!

When we come to Christ and know The Saviour's grace, mercy and gift of eternal life, we discover this loving God being unveiled to us who has loved with an everlasting love so great that He "spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all and how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things."  [Romans 8:32.] - And what rest comes to the heart with such a revelation of such an All Loving and Giving God and as Jesus said "And you shall find rest unto your souls." This truth is beautifully expressed in the following Hymn....

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There's a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Refrain

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion-
For more than conquerors we are!

Refrain

His Word shall not fail you-He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

Refrain.

The problems and stresses of Life, major heart ache or tragedy, have you found or do you have a strong source of comfort and encouragement that all is well both now and  into the future?

Anything to The Christian, there is an assurance that   "All things work together for good to them that love God and are the called according to His purpose" [Romans 8:28.]  Paul declares the glorious truth "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword?....Nor height, nor depth nor any other creature is able to separate us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" [Romans 8:35-39.] Such is the powerful love that a christian enters into in knowing The Lord, as Peter said "Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you" [1 Peter 5:7.]

Be at rest and peace in your heart and have a joy and confidence that you have an "Answer  of Peace" about your soul and your eternal destiny; do you desire such peace and rest?

-Day if ye will hear His voice, harden not your heart" [Hebrews 3:15.] Come to Christ; there is no clearer message of the way God's love has reached all of mankind with Grace, pardon and goodness - What a "Glorious Gospel"is this message of Jesus Christ, a Gracious Creator [John 1:1-14. Colossians 1:13-22.] who created such beauty and perfection for man but then man "blew it" but this wonderful loving Creator/Shepherd stepped into the human race to "re-create" the deformed human "Image of God" by atoning for his sin and providing a "clean up" provision whereby he can be "born again" and be received into the love and The Kingdom of God forever. Don't hesitate for one second about this perfect love that the Lord has for you!

Case you could say is too difficult, too messed up, too much to give up, too much for me to worry about a change that could spoil everything, too risky to my present life style and social position; is this your worry?

Jesus said "I am come that they might have LIFE and have it More ABUNDANTLY" [John 10:10.] Consider the following wonderful promise from The Bible...

Because as Peter said that Jesus is "The Prince of Life" [Acts 3:15.]  You can be assured that your life is a "shortfall" whatever it is if without The Lord, David said "Thou wilt show me the path of Life, in Thy presence is fullness of joy, at thy right hand there are pleasures forever more" [Psalm 16:11.]

The Devil's greatest Lie is... "You will be deprived of life and fun and enjoyment if you come to Christ" [Genesis 3:1-5.] Who put the taste buds on our tongues to relish the sweetness of honey or the tang of savory herbs? The declaration of his word is that The Lord has given an abundance to all mankind "RICHLY ALL THINGS TO ENJOY" [1Timothy 6:17.] Praise the Lord! How I love to shout it out! If you were here in front of me I would Declare with joy to you in loud glad tones that "THE LORD IS GOOD" IT CAN'T BE BEATON TO KNOW HIM! There are "Unsearchable Riches in Christ" [Ephesians3:8.] and he will make your Marriage, Family, Friendships, fun, and everything that counts as "Life" RICHER in knowing Him!

Faint? Life's problems and emptiness just too much to bother? Feel really cast down, misunderstood and not appreciated?

Not cast down because as Jesus said to the Disciples and also says to you and me... "Be of good cheer, it is I; be not afraid."  [Matthew 14:27.] Jesus said this to the disciples while they were struggling against the storm on the sea of Galilee and when they saw Him walking on the water they were afraid, but when he came into their ship the storm ceased and there was peace. [Ref. also Mark 4:38-39.]  There are many "storms" on the sea of life, storms in the home & family, marriage, the work place, relationships, and so the stormy seas are endless but whatever the "Storm" just invite Jesus into your ship because He is coming to you and remember He is the one with the storm under His feet and He can command peace and a "Great calm" in your life! Jesus loves you and can see your struggle for life and happiness, and let me tell you, that He has just that for you - Real Happiness and contentment!

Did you notice that the introductory words to each "question and Answer" when strung together make up the phrase below?

Dear friend, Calvary declares how great is God's love for you and as the encouragement in The Word of God says, and let me encourage you in the same.... That The Lord is GOOD,

Blessed is the man that Trusts in Him" [Psalm 34:8.]

Jesus Loves you.

God Bless.
