2 Corinthians 11:3 "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ".

Having been a believer on the Lord Jesus Christ and a lover of the book that is all about Him, and having been possessed by a love of studying the endless “unsearchable riches of Christ” in the Bible for the last 64 years; there is a profound wonder at the mountains of confused material that questions the authenticity and divine accuracy of the original Bible that the LORD has bestowed miraculously upon the English speaking world, namely the King James Bible.

In the face of the above statement:

Clearly, there has been a blessed discovery of the truth that the Lord is greater than all the attempts of men to “pervert the Gospel of Christ” [Galatians 1:7].

It has been joyfully observed in young believers, that though they may have in their hands one of the glaringly erroneous versions of the Bible, yet wonderfully, the Spirit of God has not been limited in revealing to the believing heart his precious truth.

Praise the Lord, Jesus has wonderfully promised …..

…. John 16:13 “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”.

Often in time, a brother or sister comprehends evident discrepancies between the many different versions and takes steps to secure what is a more accurate translation. Often this registration by the Spirit does and has led to the satisfying discovery of the God established accuracy and beauty of the Authorized version.

The Underlying Regret In The Work Of The Lord.

Legalistic Christians, unfortunately, become legalistic about Everything! reading the Bible, prayer, witnessing, husbands duty, wife’s duty, bringing up children and almost every truth of the Bible!

Horrendous is the results of every preacher who turns the new Testament into law.

An “able minister of the New Testament” is one that trusts in the “ministration of the Spirit” which is Life. “The letter killeth but the Spirit giveth LIFE”.

When a believer wakes up to the bondage of Christian legalistic obedience, the dangerous threshold can sometimes be reached of questioning everything; and that can perilously include any, and every foundation of faith and truth which is all based upon the Bible.

This deceitful landslide of the “falling away” of faith can only find satisfaction and excuse, for a loose spiritual position, by uprooting and questioning the very foundation of Bible veracity, and authority, and in particular, that of the King James Version of the Bible.

This Treatise.

The aim of this document among other things, is to outline a definitive analysis for determining the absolute accuracy of the KJV Bible and the exposing of the erroneous variables in Text, Context and Doctrine of translations that depart from the ancient overwhelmingly ‘Majority MSS text’ from which the KJV is derived by God's mighty hand.

Every translation of the Bible can be clearly and accurately tested as to it’s veracity in the following three simple processes, that any one can undertake whether in possession of high level educational credentials or not.

The Three pronged simple test of any Bible translation.

"Textual" accuracy is easily tested and proved by  it’s “Contextual” and “Doctrinal” purity and compatibility.

1). Textual weakness or error will always tend to be reflected in the context and also often with doctrinal indicators in the Textual and context  formation.

2). If the “context” of Scripture is distorted, confused or convoluted, “textual” accuracy is compromised and to be rejected.

3). If “Doctrine” is flawed by either “textual” or “contextual" misalignment then the translation is obviously judged faulty by it’s own script.

Translation Test Example.

There has been a daring claim posted on the net that the following Scripture in the KJV Bible - 1 Kings 18:21-26 and the word "halt"  is …

…...“An Approximately 25 Year Old Misunderstanding with 400 Year Roots”.

One translation that fits exactly the claim of a KJV error is the ESV version of the Bible, which is simply a prodigy of the faulty Westcot and Hort Revised version.

KJV Translation.

The Two Verses Under Comparison Examination.

….. 1Ki 18:21 “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word”.

…. 1Ki 18:26 “And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made”.

ESV Translation.

The Two Verses Under Comparison Examination.

1Ki 18:21 “And Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long R18will you go limping between two different opinions? R19If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.” And the people did not answer him a word”.

1Ki 18:26 “And they took the bull that was given them, and they prepared it and called upon the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, “O Baal, answer us!” But there was no voice, and no one answered. And they limped around the altar that they had made”.

The main bone of contention is the following KJV word, so lets apply the simple three pronged test for inspired accuracy, namely - “Textual” accuracy determined by “Contextual” and “Doctrinal” veracity.

Briefly: This scripture actually shows the unfathomable rich God breathed inspiration of the KJV even with incidental details.

Verse 26 contains the same Hebrew word translated "halt" in verse 21 as “leaped” in verse 26 of the KJV version.

The phrase is ...

"and they leaped upon the altar".

The ESV wording of the Hebrew word translated “limping” in verse 21 is phrased in verse 26 .….

"Limped 'around' the altar".

There is a big problem here! Someone has "wrested the scriptures”!

The KJV is talking about how they got 'onto' the altar, not what they were doing “around” the altar!

What a misfit change of events! How shaky is such a misfit “context”.

They were desperately calling out to Baal and they weren't receiving any answer, so out of sheer panic of embarrassment and threatened guilt and fright of losing their heads, (which can be easily understood), they “Leaped” upon the altar!

They enthusiastically got onto the altar in their utter panic to get a result upon their threatened huge error of commitment to Baal and risky outright opposition to Elijah and Jehovah!

There can be no doubt that there was a 'halt' between two opinions, and obviously no "limping" here. They “leaped” for a “halt” against Jehovah and Elijah and for the proof of Baal.

So earnest was their “halt” to God, that they cut their flesh with lancets till their blood gushed out in their frenzied attempt to prove that Baal is the true God, and all this with the backing of the people of Israel.

It could be thought that,  maybe their was a “halt” as far as the prophets of Baal were concerned but the people of Israel themselves, were in a “limp” mode of doubtful mind. But alas, that stretch of the deal doesn’t cut the mustard, because of the Lord’s final verdict as follows ….

1 Kings 21:22-24.

“And will make thine (Ahab’s) house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.

And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.

Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat”.

These 400 prophets of Baal were the pets of Jezebel!

This whole battle scene is proof beyond any doubt that not only the prophets of Baal, but also the people of Israel had already made a "Halt" towards Jehovah, not a "limp". This optional “limp” word by the way, is Strong’s definition in his Hebrew and Greek concordance; obviously from which is derived the ESV rendering and also the strong non fit  assumptions of the internet article.

They weren't “limping” around the altar saying to one another as they cut themselves and the blood gushed out, “maybe we should reconsider who we are challenging! Let’s sit down and have a cup of tea and form a decision committee because we need to sort out this “limp” we have between the 2 opinions”!!

The NIV reads … “they danced around the altar”.

Oh sure, they danced the hoki poki as the song goes - “you put your right arm in, you put your right arm out, you put your right arm in and you shake the Blood about”!!

Oh dear, I need someone to give me a break!

Concerning the “dancing” bit of the NIV. There are two clear Hebrew words that could have been used without any required judgment left for “contextual” clarity of meaning. These two Hebrew words denote a stand alone action of “danced”, if that was the real picture at the altar of Baal.

What a dynamic action description of the desperation of the prophets of Baal to underpin their all out depravity! Simply by the “contextual” integrity, the “textual” authenticity of the King James Bible is validated, with also (you could say), a “doctrinal” true clarification of the serious apostasy of Israel.

The word “Halt” has only three other renderings of H6452 in the KJV.

1). Leaped

2). Lame

3). Pass

In this Scripture portion and use of the Hebrew word H6452 translated as “leaped” (in verse 26 KJV) is used with a “contextual” blow up of the weightiness and gross evil of their “halt” and deliberate intention to oppose the God of Elijah and the God of Israel.

“They leaped upon the altar” in sheer all out defiance to claim and prove Baal as their preferred God. Is there in our wildest imagination any “limp” of attitude, about what they were doing? The whole grisly account shouts out (literally) Jehovah is out, Baal is in!

How beautifully is proved the God inspired authority of the Authorised King James Version of the Bible.

This first world wide publication of the King James Bible in the English language was miraculously heralded out to the world “the wonderful works of God” at the enormous cost of persecution and the blood of the Christ captivated translators (example - Wycliffe and Tyndale) of the majority text MSS.

God miraculously defended and empowered against many enemies the publication by the express decree of the King of England, the King James Bible of AD1611 and it was made available to the entire English speaking world.

What a prize we have of the unparalleled full revelation of the Greatness of Christ, the Word of God and also the English language!

How easily these myriads of modern versions fall to bits under the simple scrutiny of the “context” evaluation and in some circumstances a necessary and serious “doctrinal” evaluation.

You cannot help but wonder at some of these so called scholars, if they are having some mockery fun with their translations and a deliberate stir of all those freaky evangelical Bible lovers.

Westcot and Hort intimated such variance attitudes - “So far the angry objectors have reason for their astonishment” (Hort, Life and Letters, Vol. 1, pp. 138,139).

How could you call these prophets and their fanatical worship of Baal a "limping of opinion".

Does the ESV (“textual”) word “limp” or “limped” (or “danced” NIV) pass the “Contextual” test?

Of course the obvious answer is, it definitely doesn’t pass the “contextual” test; not by a long way.

Hold on to your false teeth, this type of “Textual” and “Contextual”  falsity example of these modern translations that are money spinners gets a lot worse.

There is an extensive display of "enticing words of man's wisdom" in much of the postulations of so called “textual criticism” that goes on around the web.

“Halt” in verse 21 and “leaped upon the altar” in verse 26 definitely does pass, the “Textual” and “Contextual” test overwhelmingly and consistently when placed alongside the other usages of the same Hebrew word and the KJV equivalent English word ….

… ”will pass”

and …

… “Lame”.

The KJV rendering clearly validates the true picture and invalidates the word misfit and distorted account of that which is based upon the Westcot and Hort “Revised” version.  The “Textual”, “Contextual” and “Doctrinal” test of comparing the usage of the same Hebrew and translated English in different passages of Scripture reveal unmistakable contradictions in the Westcot and Hort based modern translations!

These contrary “prophets” of Baal were in full flight to aggressively oppose Jehovah and Elijah, not having a “limp” but a “halt” between two opinions, nor “limping around the altar” but “leaped upon the altar” in their aggressive opposition to God and desperate promotion of their idolatry.

2 Samuel 4:4.

Interestingly "lame" is mentioned twice in 2 Samuel 4:4 the first mention is the 'state' of being "lame" and is a different Hebrew word H5223.

The second "lame"  is our same (“Halt”, “Leaped”) H6452 describing the 'action' - "became lame" from a sudden fall in a violent escape endeavour. He didn't "limp" towards becoming lame. He suddenly became “Halt” in the ability to walk.

Exodus 12:23.

"For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass (H6452) over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you".

How dramatic a scene! The "destroyer" is on an unstoppable mission, but the Lord has a stopper, an "absolutism" - A "Halt" - No death to the Redeemed under the blood! Pass over, they are mine, and such a dramatic scene brings us all to the cross of our dear Saviour and the efficacy of being under the sinners redemption account of the blood of Christ.

The destroyer didn't "limp" past the blood; it was an “absolute”, a "Halt" of decisive action! And if you like, “leaped” over the houses (safeguarded by the blood) with the same enthusiasm that the distraught panic stricken prophets of Baal “leaped” upon the altar to desperately try and evoke their false god! Praise the Lord, for the wonderful illustration of the “pass over” lamb that shines such an “absolutism” of the Lord Jesus and his love for you and me, and complete overreaching safety in his redemption regardless of our real timeline wretchedness!

A word, - a phrase, - a clause, - or even a sentence or a paragraph, - must have some relation to the rest of the entire passage which precedes it or comes after it. Therefore it will often be necessary, in order to reach all the evidence that bears upon a disputed question, to examine both the meaning and the language lying on both sides of the point in dispute”. In all the above verses, and especially in the case of 1 Kings 18:26 with the word “leaped”, the use of  the Hebrew word -

paw-sakh' (H6452) provides a very clear expression of the fact that these renegade false prophets of Baal were bent on absolute opposition to God and confirm a “halt” to any doubt that Baal was the god of choice for Israel!

There is astounding clarity, that there was no “limping” simply by the “Contextual” mountain of proof with not only this one word of ‘leaped” but by their fanatical radical actions that followed once they were on the altar! there was not only a “halt” to following God as far as the prophets of Baal were concerned but they were all out to maintain the “halt” produced upon the people of Israel!

You would have to seriously juggle the obvious to not see the “Contextual” test uniformity that cancels any tenor of “limped”.

1). “Halt between 2 opinions” = Passed Textual and Contextual test.

2). “will pass” = Passed Textual, Contextual and Doctrinal test of a definite “halt” action on the part of “the destroyer” against any that were in their homes by faith and under the blood!

3). “Lame” = Passed Textual, Contextual and Doctrinal test.

4). “Leaped” = Passed Textual, Contextual and Doctrinal test with contextual clarity upon their aggressive denial and contest with Elijah.

James Strong was part of the KJV revision committee with Westcot and Hort and his Hebrew and Greek dictionary falls under serious question. By his own admission in the preface to his Hebrew and Greek concordance, he states that his work is based upon the “Revised” (which is based upon 2 lone Vaticanus & Sinaiticus discarded texts) as well as the “Authorised” KJV.

Oh, the creepiness of apostasy among the saints of God!

Watchman Nee said … “The best commentary on the Bible is the Bible itself”.

Much delightful light and gold has been discovered in the Word using the above simple resource technique: Such has been the interesting chase and discovery with the word "Halt".

Further, the English word “halt” in our present consideration, (and in particular), is wonderfully clarified (as mentioned above) with the word "will pass”over in Exodus 12:23.

This procedure of in depth study of the Word (King James version) provides such full comprehension of the Word of God that is exciting.

I fear in my spirit, that these “Textual Criticism” people with their presumptuous claims are in grave danger of censure from the one who is the Highest (Isaiah 13:3).

This High God of the Bible HAS worked to ‘Speak’ (by mouth) to mankind, whose ‘mouth’ he has created, and caution is wise to Not mess with what God has miraculously made known by word of mouth to the English speaking people of the World (Matthew 4:4).

"Textual Confidence" is fancy and deceptive terminology for the exact same words as Westcott .... "Our Bible as well as our Faith is a Mere Compromise".

Therein from Westcott's own mouth is there much need for us to tremble at the subtle destructive evil that is sweeping much of the Church today into the dark and deceitful apostasy of textual criticism, and wavering doubts of postulated Bible confusion and a fixated mental attitude of….  “does the Bible really mean what it says”.

A lot of what the enemy is using, is these novel translations of the Bible, and alas, to many, it is of little concern.

But behold, "What great a matter a little fire kindeleth" [James 3:5].

Psalm 12 is the mandate for us all today; particularly verse 1.

“Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men”.

Verses 6-7 apply to the wonderful Christ centered Word of God as in the following …

Another Example Of Novel Translation Madness.

This particular fireball of brainless “textual criticism translation-ism is found in the NIV Bible 1985 edition.

It would be more desirable to be less disdainful in the opening statements but the seriousness of the absolute ‘translation’ insult to the Word of God must be spelled out for the urgency of defending True “Textual” Translation, True “Doctrine” and True “Contextual” expression against these dangerous meddling oppositions to the truth of God’s Word.

A lady in attendance at a Bible Study Fellowship, who had been (it seemed) involved at some point, in every religious group under the sun, humorously raised this verse of slur on the apostle Paul’s aggressive rhetoric “bite” (found in the NIV version) against the Judaic law enforcers.

It is hard to put into words how off the chart and wild the idiocy of such an insert into the Word of God!

THE TEST.

Lets do the three layered test to this so called high standard of professional academia “Textual criticism”, which in actual fact is “textual” slander of the apostle Paul. Such malignment of Paul, is indeed a very serious “crossing the line” of “textual criticism” and yet the Word in Jude (concerning the latter days) speaks of those who “speak evil of dignities” [Jude 1:8].

Galatians 5:12.

“emasculate themselves” (NIV)

“cut off” (KJV)

CONTEXTUAL TEST.

The construct is completely changed in the NIV from something that should happen 'to them' to something that 'they should do to themselves'. Such an objective change to the "Text"  is a wild one and on that account the 'newcomer' translation is to be relegated to the dumb stack.

The "Context" of verse 12 must take in Paul's previous words right from the beginning of the chapter, and his plea for the Galatian believers to "stand fast" in "the liberty" and not to be "entangled" with the yoke of the law on circumcision, which would cause them to be divorced from a beneficial relationship with Christ. IE. - "Christ shall profit you nothing" [5:2]. The matter is a dire one, and Paul is clearly dealing with a "persuasion" [Galatians 5:8] of spiritual magnitude, not a mere physical change to body parts. The "Context" down to verse 15 with Paul's warning to the saints of the danger of verbally taking a "bite" at one another, disallows the insinuation of the NIV, that Paul was having a malice "bite" at the Judaizers and thus demonstrating himself to be a hypocrite!

DOCTRINAL TEST.

The NIV paints Paul as a spiritual junior in doctrinal matters. Even if the judaizers did "mutilate" or "emasculate themselves", what does that mean? The male Law givers would already be circumsised! So, is the NIV and Westcot and Hort and James Strong Hebrew and Greek concordance really saying, that the apostle Paul is saying, that they should literally slash their private parts to bits?  THAT WOULD NOT CHANGE THE DOCTRINAL "PERSUASION" [verse 8] OF THE LAW GIVERS! These law givers would continue their attempted subjugation of the Galatian believers because their doctrinal "persuasion" is from the heart and spirit and selfrighteous mind and has NOTHING to do with the health of their body parts! Everybody knows that having a hip replacement doesn't CHANGE WHAT YOU BELIEVE! Such rhetoric from Paul would label him before the Galatian Church as a man of "words to no profit" [2 Timothy 2:15].

What about the women Judaizers? Would it also be encumbered upon them to mutilate themselves as part of Paul's remedy for the saints freedom from judaistic tyranny? How absurd is the devious insinuations of the NIV translation about Paul's doctrine!

No, the only answer is that the troublesome law givers be "cut off" from contact and influence among the fellowship of believers in the Galatian Church.

There is no doubt about the real position of the apostle, because of the 'tenor' of his whole letter. The introduction of his allegory of Hagar, the bond woman and her son, at the end of chapter four complements his strong advise to "cut off" them that were 'troubling' the Church with the judaistic doctrine of circumsision.

Clearly, the doctrinal test relegates the NIV Bible to the scrap heap of modern versions

The Lord "look upon" us in our great need in these end times, of the "falling away" from the absolute authoritative integrity and purity of the Word of God by which we are meant to "be partakers of his divine nature".
