Home The Bountiful dealings of The Lord

"Return unto thy Rest O my soul for The Lord

hath Dealt Bountifully with thee" [Psalm 116:7.]

How easily we can become unsettled, but here the psalmist recalls how good The Lord has been to Him, and commands his soul to RETURN UNTO REST.

Isn't there much that we can recall of The Lord's goodness and that's what the psalmist does in the next verse..  "For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears and my feet from falling" [Psalm 116:8.]

How much a problem our soul is and how easily it can enter into the realm of death because "the soul" is that whole area of emotions, affections and desires and to live under the persuasion of the soul and not The Spirit is a very quick path for our feet to fall, causing many tears to follow; David chided his soul with the words... "Why art thou cast down O my soul and why art thou disquieted within me, Hope thou in God for I shall yet Praise Him..." [Psalm 43:5.]

The Lord encourage much with the fact that He has future "Bountiful" dealings and blessings as we keep looking unto Jesus, knowing Him perfecting our faith to walk more and more in The Spirit, our soul filled with hope and anticipation of many future reasons to Praise the Lord!

Jesus loves you.

God Bless.
