"... Count you worthy of this calling and fulfill all the good

                pleasure of His Goodness and the work of faith with

                Power, that The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be

                Glorified in you and YE IN HIM..."

                                       [2 Thessalonians 1:11-12.]

This is what Paul Prayed for, to be accomplished

in them because of what is coming, - The Glory of  "The

Great King" [Psalm 48:2.]

It is one thing for Christ to be glorified in us because of ALL that

we enter into by way of the free gift of His grace: -

We have become Children of God.

Forgiven.

Justified - made JUST as IF we had never sinned.

Received Eternal Life. 

And we shall receive glorified bodies -  "..It is raised in

 Glory" [1 Corinthians 15:43.]

In ALL this Christ will be Glorified because he has done

GREAT things for us!

                                                  BUT

what about something GREAT being accomplished

by His Kingship and power in us and through us ..

                          Please notice

what then happens as we are captivated by His

Love, and in our hearts He has the Preeminence

over ALL:

The result is...

"...That The Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may

be Glorified in you, and....

Now that is  "THE PRIZE OF THE HIGH

CALLING OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS" [Philippians

3:14.]

Paul reminds them again of this Glorious calling in the second

chapter with the words..  "Whereunto He called you by

our Gospel to the OBTAINING of THE GLORY OF OUR LORD

JESUS CHRIST" [2 Thessalonians 2:14.]

Dear brother and sister, there is GLORY bestowed by FREE

GRACE as part of the Great Salvation in Christ, BUT there is

ALSO..

  .                                 

As we are encouraged by the word of God, what an exciting calling; "called to the obtaining of The Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ."

In verse 10 we are presented with the wonderful and Glorious thrill of The Comming of the Lord for His saints and the great reality of our salvation to such extents of Jesus being glorified in us and admired in us, one cannot help being absolutely thrilled while writing these words, with all the wonder of being Loved so much by The Lord, and yet there is even a Higher Glory that The Lord calls us to, as The Word says in another place, and that is,  "If we suffer with Him we shall Reign with Him" [2 Timothy 2:12.] and again,  "and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and Joint heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together." [Romans 8:17.] How Loving and Gracious is The Lord's calling and invitation to us to OBTAIN AND SHARE HIS GLORY!

At this point we can say with a full heart -  "O Love The Lord all ye His saints" [Psalm 31:23.]

Are You going to "Press toward the Mark for The Prize of the High calling of God in Christ Jesus"? [Philippians 3:14.]

Verse 11 of our text is the precious guide to "Obtaining" more and more of this great "Prize"

God willing, more to come on this most precious calling and "race", that every saint is called to eagerly pursue with the utmost for the great Joy.
